Did you know that Lamb’s blood is an antidote for snake venom? Scientists have discovered that antibodies derived from lamb’s blood can be used to neutralize the effects of certain snake bites. This is fascinating, because from a spiritual lens, the serpent represents Satan, and the venom is symbolic of sin and death—the poison that entered humanity when Adam listened to the snake in the Garden of Eden.

Enter Jesus, the Lamb of God, whose blood is the ultimate anti-venom. Just as snake venom corrupts and paralyzes the body, sin paralyzes the soul. But Jesus, through His sinless life and sacrificial death, shed His blood, our ultimate anti-venom, to break the cobra’s curse of sin, death and hell on all humanity. At the cross, the Lamb of God absorbed the full venom when he took all the sins of the world on himself, dying and emerging victorious, offering His blood as a permanent antidote for every soul bitten by the serpent’s lies.

So when John the Baptist declared, “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world,” he wasn’t kidding. The blood of Jesus has the power to save us from sin, death and eternity in hell. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6) Jesus is the only way to Heaven, the only antidote for the snake venom of sin that all humanity is born into. Take the antidote today, it will save your life for all eternity.
