I wrote the lyrics for " Is it Wrong" when the doctors gave me a diagnosis of incurable cancer back in 2022. I wrestled with the thought of enduring the struggle I had been watching my best friend go through for the past few years, with surgery, chemo and immunotherapy, and the side effects. I dreaded the idea of being sick all the time, and spending countless hours in hospitals getting chemicals that just made me feel worse pumped into my body. And all for what? A year more, or a few, if I was lucky? I decided no, I'd put it in God's hands, and He helped me decide on the course of action I would take.
This song is written from the point of view of someone going through a health struggle, be it advanced age or a terminal diagnosis, with friends and family wanting them to fight to stay down here on earth, but not understanding what it's like from the point of view of the person suffering.
It's meant to comfort those who make the decision to put their life, or passing, in God's hands, and alleviate the guilt they may feel about disappoining those friends and family.
