Prof. David Byer is a seasoned technologist, educator, and scholar from Barbados with over 32 years of experience in computer science and digital innovation. He holds a Ph.D. in History, a Doctor of Letters (D.Litt), an M.Phil, and a B.Sc. in Computer Science. Prof. Byer currently serves as System-Portal Administrator at the National Insurance and Social Security Service, where he leads web development and IT infrastructure. He is also a Lecturer at the University of the West Indies and Chief Examiner for CAPE Computer Science.
