Happy Easter Sunday Everyone ! Christ is Risen !!!
The Easter story
Almost 2,000 years ago , God sent his son Jesus to live on earth so that we might learn of God's Love for us. Jesus was born in a stable in Bethlehem. We celebrate his birth on Christmas day. Jesus grew up in Nazareth , playing and growing as all children do, he learned to be a carpenter from his Earthly Father Joseph, and helped his Mother Mary in any way he could. During those years , he often talked with the teachers in the church to learn about his Heavenly Father's will for his life on Earth. When he became a man , Jesus knew it was time for him to do his Heavenly Father's Work He traveled about telling grown-ups and little children of God's love for them. Healing the sick and sharing God's Word with all who would listen. Jesus Became very popular and loved. When he rode into Jerusalem to Celebrate the special Jewish holiday of Passover, the crowds greeted him by placing palms in front of him and shouting Hosanna ! Hosanna ! it was a very happy day for Jesus and we celebrate this day on Palm Sunday. But some people were not happy about Jesus becoming so Popular . They wanted to control the people and did not want Jesus to be called King and The Messiah ". Although Jesus knew he had enemies who would harm him, he stayed in Jerusalem to celebrate the Feast of Passover with his closest followers, his Disciples. Serving them bread and wine, he said this do in remembrance of me, For he knew he would soon die. We remember this meal as the last supper and we celebrate it on maundy Thursday. Ever since that night , Christians have remembered Jesus by sharing bread and wine together. After the last supper Jesus went to a garden called Gethsemane to pray , while he was there , one of his Disciples Judas came with a group of soldiers to arrest him. Judas had agreed to tell the soldiers where Jesus was in exchange for a bag of Silver coins. The soldiers took Jesus to the high priest then to Pilate , the governor , who delivered him to be killed. Jesus was beaten by the soldiers . They forced a crown of thorns onto his head, Called him names and made him carry a heavy wooden cross up a big hill called Calvary. There the soldiers nailed Jesus hands and feet to the cross, then stood up the cross, forcing Jesus to hang there. It was a very sad time for all the people who loved Jesus, But even though he was in great pain, Jesus prayed and forgave his enemies. Then he died. Some of the people who loved Jesus took his body and after wrapping it gently in cloth, placed it in a cave like tomb and rolled a big stone in front of the opening. Three days later, they came back to the tomb. imagine how Surprised they were to see the stone rolled away. A messenger of God told the people Jesus was not dead but alive and would live with his Heavenly Father in heaven - he had been Resurrected ! We remember the day Jesus died on Good Fried called good because he died, but because of the sacrifice he made for us. God allowed Jesus to be killed so his Resurrection would be a sign of God's love for us- a way of telling us God will love and forgive us no matter what. We celebrate Jesus' Resurrection on Easter Sunday. As we look at the cross, we are reminded that Jesus died for us so that anyone who believes in him will not die, but will be resurrected , too. We are happy and sing joyfully on Easter because we know Jesus will be with us and love us forever and ever.

Romans Chapter 10 verse 13 says Whosoever call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Is God calling you to make things right ?

Dear Heavenly Father i pray for Trisha Smith, Emily Harmon, Julie Woodel, Heather Walden, Renee Calburn, Alison White, Fiona Christie , Angela Conn , Angela Ruach , Deborah Ogunka, Ofeyemi javy i ask that you speak to me and i ask that you keep them safe, i ask that you let them know if they are going through a tough or hard time that they are not alone. i pray you give them peace and i ask you comfort them if they are going through a storm in Jesus name i pray Amen

If you declare with your mouth, Jesus is Lord , and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is your heart that you believe and are justified , and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.- Romans 10:9-10

Merciful God , Help us confess with Sincerity that Jesus is Lord and believe with unwavering conviction that you raised him from the dead. Let this truth take root in our hearts and Shape our lives. Empower your church to proclaim this saving message with joy.

if you can' ? said Jesus everything is possible for one who believes.'' Immediately the boy's father exclaimed , i do believe ; help me overcome my unbelief ! - Mark 9: 23-24

Merciful Jesus help us believe that all things are possible with you. Strengthen our faith where it is weak and help us cry out honestly for your help. Encourage your people to trust you wholeheartedly.

Then Jesus told him, because you have seen me, you have believed ; blessed are those who have not seen and yet believed.'' Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah , the son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. John 20: 29- 31

Father God, Thank you for the gift of your written word, And thank for carrying on your work for generations blessing those who believe without seeing. Strengthen our conviction in the truth of your word. Help us walk confidently in the life you offer through Christ.

Though you have not seen him, you love him, and even though you do not see him now, You believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls. - 1 Peter 1: 8-9

Lord Jesus Thank you for the joy we have in loving you through we have in loving you though we have not seen you. Strengthen our faith as we look forward to the salvation of our souls. Fill believers with inexpressible and glorious joy.

No , in all These things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For i am Convinced that neither death nor life, neither Angels nor Demons , neither the present nor the future , nor any powers , neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all Creation, Will be able to Separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 8: 37- 39

Lord Jesus, Thank you that because of your great love , we are more then Conquerors . Remind us that nothing in all creation can separate us from your Steadfast love. Strengthen believers everywhere to walk in victory grounded in your grace .

Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of belivers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of suffering. And The God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong , firm and Steadfast._ 1st Peter 5: 9-10

Thank you God for your Sovereign purpose even in the midst of Suffering . Thank you for being with us in every Trial . Make our Faith steadfast and Empower your people to resist the lies of the enemy . may your church lift up & enourage one another to the persevere as we look to the day when Suffering will be no more

Whom have i in haven but you ? And Earth has nothing i desire besides you . My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. - Psalm 73: 25- 26

Father God , Thank you that you are our portion forever. Strengthen our hearts when they falter and remind us that nothing compares to your presence. Draw your people closer to you in Every season.

There is a river whose steams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the most high dwells - psalm 46:4

Jesus , you are the way to the city of God ; there is no other. Help me live my life as a sign post that points the way to the holy place where the most high dwells !
Amen.

He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness ; by his wounds you have been healed. _1 Peter 2:24

Father God thank you for sending your son to bear my shame and death on the cross. Thank you that my sins are paid for by his blood, and my justification is proven by his Resurrection. Thank you for making me a new creation . Amen

I am not saying this because i am in need, for i have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. i know what it is to be in need, and i know what it is to have plenty. i have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, Whether living in plenty or in want. - Philippians 4 : 11 -12

Lord God, i want to be content in every situation. Teach me how to be more like Paul who was at complete peace whether hungry or fed, in want or in plenty. Though total trust in your providence, help me demonstrate complete contentment. Amen.

Preach the world ; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with Complete patience and teaching. - 2 Timothy 4 :2

Lord Jesus, thank you for giving us the gift of your word , which is completely sufficient instructions to live by. Help me be willing and bold to preach your word when opportunities arise, and show me how to be patient, loving, and faithful to its meaning. Amen

But he was pierced for our transgressions ; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brough us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. - Isaiah 53: 5

Father, Thank you for the sacrifice of Jesus, who was wounded for our transgressions and crushed for our iniquities. May his suffering and love transform my heart, And may i live in gratitude for his Salvation. Amen

And i tell you, ask , and it will be given to you ; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who receives , and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened - Luke 11:9-10

Lord in heaven, Thank you for your promise that you will give the holy spirit to those who ask. Help me to approach you with Confidence and faith, remembering that you are a good father. Amen

For Where your treasure is, There your heart will be also _ Matthew 6:21

Gracious Father, help me to set my heart on heavenly treasures, not on earthy wealth. Though my old nature was once bound to the promises of this world alone, let my new life reflect the values of your kingdom. Amen

So Then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, Rooted and build up in him, strengthened in the Faith as you were taught and overflowing with thankfulness- Colossians 2:6-7

Gracious Lord Jesus Help me to flourish as i walk in my faith. May my life be deeply rooted in you and bear fruit for your kingdom. Amen

Finally, Be strong in the Lord and in the Strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil - Ephesians 6:10- 11

Lord, help me to be strong in you and in your mighty power. Clothe me with the full Armor of God , so that i can stand form against the devils schemes. Equip me for the battles i will face today. Amen

For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control _ 2 Timothy 1:7

Father, as i face the challenges that this day holds, help me remember that you have given me a spirit of power, love and the gift of Self -Discipline. Help me demonstrate these gifts to your glory that my life may point to you. Amen

For i know the plans i have for you, Declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not evil, to give you a future and a hope _Jeremiah 29:11

Heavenly Father, i am grateful for your prefect plan. Though the future may seem uncertain, you know it completely. Help me find peace remembering that your plans for me are good and will ultimately work for your glory. Amen

Then Peter came up and said to him, Lord how often will my brother sin against me, and i forgive him ? As many as Seven times ? Jesus said to him, i do not say to you seven times, but Seventy-seven times- Matthew 18:21 -22

Father, help me regard the committed against me as nothing compared to the sins you have pardoned on my account. Teach me to forgive as you have forgiven me, letting go of bitterness and extending grace freely as you do. Amen

But he said to me, My grace id sufficient for you, For my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore i will boast all the more gladly of my weakness, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me - 2 Corinthians 12:9

Father, Thank you that you work through imperfect people , because i certainly am imperfect ! i know i fail in my Flesh sometimes, but help me remain faithful, so that any work you do through me will bring glory to your name alone , Amen
