After more than 20 years addicted to drugs, surviving domestic violence, homelessness, psychosis, and deep mental health struggles, I honestly didn’t believe there was a way out. I grew up in a broken home, lived on couches and in share houses, chased money, business success and bodybuilding trophies, and went in and out of rehabs. I was heavily using meth/ice and later prescription stimulants, living with undiagnosed autism, ADHD and PTSD, and at one point I was so unwell I didn’t think I’d survive.
Three years ago I encountered Jesus in the middle of that darkness. I started going to church, reading the Bible, and slowly learning about forgiveness, healing and letting go of victimhood and blame. God met me there. Since then, I’ve been baptised, delivered from addiction, and by His grace I’ve finished my PhD in psychology and become Dr Tammie Foster—something I never thought was possible after not even finishing high school.
This video is for anyone who feels stuck in addiction, mental illness, trauma, or labels like “too broken” or “too far gone”. There is hope. Your brain can heal. Your life can change. There is a God who sees you.
