Thought Of The Day...
Persecution does not always come from people who are outside the faith. The Jews who opposed Paul in Corinth had grown up believing in the God of Abraham, just as Paul had. But they insulted Paul because he was now testifying that this same God had sent Jesus as their promised Messiah. Paul must have been a bit intimidated by the violence of the people's arguments. In his sleep, Paul heard the Lord speak to him in a vision. The Lord encouraged Paul, promising to be with him and assuring him that no one would harm him in that city. The Lord wanted Paul to keep preaching the good news in Corinth, because God had many people to bring to himself in that community.
We might not be persecuted as Paul was, but often we are faced with opposition because of our faith in Christ. For example, even though Christians in North America do not face open persecution for their faith, they can sometimes be intimidated to keep their faith to themselves in public places. Many of us are tempted to keep quiet and not witness about our faith. But Jesus encourages us to keep living and talking about our faith in him because there are many unbelievers he wants to bring into the family of God.
What person or situation intimidates you? The Lord promises to be with you.

Prayer...
Heavenly Father, As we gather before you today, we pray for the courage and strength to be your faithful witnesses in all aspects of our lives. You have called us to share your word with others and to be a light in this dark world. Yet, we often struggle with fear and uncertainty, and we may find ourselves keeping quiet when opportunities arise to share your love and truth.

But Lord, we know that you are with us always, and you have promised to never leave us nor forsake us. So, we ask for your reassurance and guidance as we step out in faith to share your message with those around us. Give us the right words to speak and the right actions to take, and help us to trust in your perfect plan for each and every moment.

Help us to remember the example of Paul in Acts 18:9-10, who was obedient to your call and boldly proclaimed your word, despite facing challenges and opposition. May his courage and faith inspire us to also speak your truth with confidence and love.

We pray that your Spirit will go before us and prepare the hearts of those we encounter. May your love and grace shine through us, drawing others closer to you. And as we faithfully witness in our own lives, may we reflect your compassion and kindness in every interaction. Help us to be patient and understanding, knowing that everyone we meet is on their own journey.

Lord, we ask for wisdom to discern opportunities for sharing your message, and the humility to remember that it is not by our power but by your Spirit that hearts are transformed. Strengthen our resolve to live out our faith with integrity and authenticity, allowing our actions to speak as loudly as our words.

We commit ourselves to this mission, trusting in your guidance and grace. May we always seek to glorify you in all that we do. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

From a Christian and biblical perspective, the concept of "spiritual energy" and "the universe giving you what you want" needs to be examined carefully, because it often stems from New Age or secular self-help ideologies that don’t align with the truths of Scripture. Let’s break this down in light of God’s Word:

1. God is the Source, Not the Universe
Many popular teachings say "ask the universe" or "manifest your desires," but in the Bible, God—not the universe—is the Creator and Sustainer of all things.

Genesis 1:1 – "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth."

Colossians 1:16-17 – "For by Him all things were created... all things were created through Him and for Him."

The universe is a created thing. It does not have will, intention, or divine power to give anything. Only God is sovereign and personal, and He is the one who hears our prayers and meets our needs.

2. Prayer, Not Manifestation
Instead of "manifesting" or visualizing success and expecting the universe to deliver it, the Bible teaches us to pray and trust in God's will.

Philippians 4:6-7 – "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God."

1 John 5:14 – "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us."

God responds not to positive vibes or energy, but to faith in Him, through His Son Jesus Christ.

3. Holy Spirit, Not Spiritual Energy
In the Bible, "spiritual energy" as the world defines it is never mentioned. Instead, believers are empowered by the Holy Spirit, who is God Himself, not an impersonal force.

Acts 1:8 – "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you..."

Romans 8:11 – "The Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you..."

The Holy Spirit gives discernment, peace, strength, and gifts, not random "energy" or vibes.

4. God’s Will, Not Just Our Desires
It’s not wrong to have dreams and goals—but as Christians, we surrender our will to God’s plan, which is always higher and better.

Proverbs 16:9 – "The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps."

Matthew 6:10 – "Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven."

We are called to trust that God knows what’s best, even when it doesn't match what we "want."

5. Faith in Christ Brings Peace, Not the Universe
What the world calls "alignment with the universe" or "energy balance," Scripture calls peace with God through Jesus.

Romans 5:1 – "Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ."

Isaiah 26:3 – "You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You."

This peace is not temporary or dependent on circumstances—it’s eternal.
