  • God’s Love

I am blessed with children and grandchildren, and recently we were blessed again with the birth of twins.
As I sat holding one of them in my arms and looking at his little face, I felt a deep, indescribable love. Then I realized: no matter what my children and grandchildren do in their lives, I will always love them.

In that moment, I understood again something about how great God’s love is for every person on earth—the love we read about in John 3:16:
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

God gave His only Son, Jesus, for us—a sacrifice beyond measure—so that those who accept Him in faith will not be lost but will have eternal life and live in a close relationship with Him.

I can hardly imagine how God must feel about those who reject Him. Yet I know this: He is patient and kind, and He waits… He waits for more people to accept Jesus as their Savior. For, as 2 Peter 3:9 says, God does not want anyone to perish but wants everyone to come to repentance.
