St. John 3:16
NLT: "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
NIV: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
KJV: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
RSV: For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Love is not complete when it remains a word. Love is an action. God showed His love to humanity by "Giving" (action) His (only) Son Jesus Christ to die in our place and for us, so we can be reconcile with the Father (John 3:16). Jesus Christ taught that the way to show we love God is to "Keep" (action) His cammands.

Also, we share the love of Christ with others today by rendering (action) spiritual, physical, financial, moral, etc services or support to them for the sake of Christ, that's love. "Love one another as I have loved you," Jesus Christ said.
