  • We have sadly turned the kingdom of God into just the parameters of church growth. As if growing churches is the only thing that counts. It is much more than that it is producing kingdom citizens, some of whom may impact our world greatly whilst never being part of a big church.

  • I’ve been pondering my life (now aged 66) and concluded again: The gospel of God’s kingdom - the good news, is incredible. God had to make me instantly perfect in him because he would use me to serve him long before I became even slightly holy. After all, he almost literally picked me out of the gutter. He used me because, despite my weaknesses I loved him and I loved people. He ordained me as a Reverend, entrusted me as a pastor and third-world missionary in Africa, despite my lack of holiness and weakness in areas of my life. He knew that I was formed in a certain way (the Royal Navy had a lot to do with it) and that formation was not conducive to living an all-out Godly life. Yet, he chose me, called me and used me to this day. Everything I have and hold dear is because of Jesus. I’m indebted beyond words
