1 John 5:3-4

Do not allow your flesh to stop you from obeying the word of God given in love by our loving Father to better our lives. Every command of God is given in love with a clean motive to bless and not to harm us. If you love God, obeying His word will not be difficult for you. The word of God is only a burden to those who do not love God.

If you love someone, you will obey him or her because you know the person loves you also and will not want to harm you. That is why the scripture says that perfect love casts out fear.

1 John 4:18
18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

God’s love for all His creatures is obvious. That love He exhibited when He sacrificed His one and only Son Jesus Christ for our redemption. If He could sacrifice Jesus for us, why would He give an instruction that is injurious to us? My God cannot do evil. He cannot demand from us His children and creatures what He has not given us the ability to do or accomplish. Everything He does He does out of love, for God is love. His whole essence is love. He exists in love, for love and through love. You cannot find Him outside of love. All His commandments are given in love to guide us into success in every area of life. His discipline is in love to correct us, as a good father will do to any of his child.

7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

Have respect for God and His word. It will pay you well if you do. Never doubt the love of God and His faithfulness to His promises and commands.

This promise includes you. He loves you. His instructions to you are in love to help you become who he created you to be. Trust him that he knows what he is doing in commanding you to do what he has asked you to do in his word. Know this for sure, that the word of God will never fail to come to pass. Like a coin, it has two sides; the one you choose will come to pass in your life. I counsel you to choose the positive side and it will be well with you.

Be ruled by love to obey God daily and in all things in Jesus name.

This scripture is loaded with wisdom about life that needs consideration. A close observation reveals that God is not a joker. God does not play games with his instructions. He says only what he means and means everything he says. The scriptures will always be fulfilled. If you obey, the good side of it will be fulfilled – the promises will come to pass in your life. If you disobey or ignore the word of God, the negative side will be fulfilled in your life – the curses and judgment decreed will come to pass in your life. Any way you go, the scripture will be fulfilled.

The word of God is like the two sides of a coin. The side you choose is what will be fulfilled in your life and experience. One side must be fulfilled. From this, you can see that you are the one that determines what you experience. Obedience will trigger off the positive side of the word, while disrespect for the word of God will trigger off the negative side. Your destiny is tied to the choice you make each time you are confronted with what God wants you to do in any and every circumstance of life.

To scorn an instruction is to despise, to look down on, treat with levity, disrespect, ignore and ultimately disobey the instruction. To scorn an instruction is to scorn and spite the one who gave the instruction. That is why the wrath of God is unleashed when His word is despised.

To scorn means to question the wisdom behind the instruction given. To scorn the word of God therefore is to question the wisdom of God. Under such condition, God cannot but prove that His wisdom is supreme by confirming His word though it hurts the one He loves.

You cannot know more about life than the one who created life. You cannot know more about marriage than the one who created marriage. In everything God knows more than any man can ever know. All the knowledge in the world of men put together can never equal the knowledge of God the creator of all things visible and invisible. To him be glory both now and for ever. The bible teaches that we know in parts. God is the totality and completion of knowledge. All knowledge comes from Him. So do not question His wisdom. Never try it!

I pray for you that you will always believe, accept and yield completely to the word of God. May you never choose to disobey God no matter the condition you may find yourself or the pressure on you in Jesus name.

*PAY ATTENTION*

2 Kings 4:2-6
2. Elisha replied to her, "How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?" "Your servant has nothing there at all," she said, "except a little oil." 3. Elisha said, "Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don't ask for just a few. 4. Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons. Pour oil into all the jars, and as each is filled, put it to one side." 5. She left him and afterward shut the door behind her and her sons. They brought the jars to her and she kept pouring. 6. When all the jars were full, she said to her son, "Bring me another one." But he replied, "There is not a jar left." Then the oil stopped flowing.

It is very important that we pay attention when God is talking to us directly or through an instrument. Take note of the details of the instruction and obey completely. Just do as you are told. Don’t use your brain to reason it out. If you use your brain, it will not make sense to you and you will find reason why you should not obey or why you should modify the instruction. Does fetching water and taking it to the master of ceremony as wine when nothing was done to it or added to it make sense? But it became wine at the end of the day. Does gathering many jars and locking the door and attempting to fill those many jars with oil from a little bottle make sense? But it worked and the woman was set free from debt and had enough to start a new business have a brand new life. Does cutting a stick and throwing it into the river for an axe made of heavy metal to float make any sense? Yet when Elisha did it, the stick took on the weight of the axe and the axe floated as if it was the stick. Just obey God and don’t use your brain for the thoughts of God are not our thoughts and the ways of God are not our ways.

Isaiah 55:8-9
8. "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. 9. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Trust the wisdom of God and you will celebrate. Reject the wisdom of God and the struggle will continue.

One of the gifts of the Holy Spirit is called the gift of the word of wisdom and the Holy Spirit operates it through His chosen vessels. Word of wisdom is a revelation gift that operates when one is in the Spirit. This gift is a supernatural revelation of the mind of God on a subject revealing a way out of a crisis or steps to take to make things happen as expected. It is a revelation of God’s instruction and will on a subject. God through this gift does not only reveal a problem but the solution to the problem and give directions in life. Listen and allow God to through this gift bring you out of your crisis and bring you into your wealthy place of sufficiency, abundant health, peace and joy. God uses men and women of God to manifest this gift, so listen to them and check your spirit for agreement (a witness). Hear and follow instructions and be free in Jesus name.

God will talk to you directly and will use others also. Be sensitive in the spirit and yield to God each time He communicates to you.

Receive grace to hear and follow instructions in Jesus name. Walk in miracles and victory daily in Jesus name.

One of the greatest challenges we have in life is unwillingness to involve God in resolving our conflicts and problems. We always think we can handle it. When we feel we need help, we turn to friends, family, associates and professionals. Only few seek God to know what to do. Many, who pray, do not pray and wait to receive direction, they only pray for God’s intervention and help, and straightaway go out on their own to figure it out. As a result conflicts and problems become complicated and messed up, then turn back and accuse God of not helping out. We must always remember that God is in our lives to help us resolve our challenges and guide us out of difficult corners and bring us into the full rest He has promised us. So, we must give Him a chance to do that.

Moses knows the power that God has graciously given him to wield here on earth. He knew that miracles always happen when he uses the staff (rod). But, he also knew that it is always at the command of the LORD, so he cannot just stretch the staff (rod) and expect something to happen. When they came to the red sea, all he did was what he was expected to do – pray for help. The LORD answered and commanded Him to stretch forth his staff towards the sea and divide it. So, he only acted on instruction and the miracle happened – a highway was created for Israel to pass through to the other side without a ship, or bridge. Miracles always happen when God speaks and we obey.

We are counseled by King Solomon not to assume we know what to do all the time. Even when we know what to do, we should still seek the counsel of the Lord. Listen for His directives and obey it completely and you will win the conflict and overcome the challenge and resolve all problems that come your way. With your education, experience and exposure, learn to lean not on that but on the wisdom of God that comes to us via divine revelations. No matter how educated and intelligent you might be, you cannot accurately tell what will happen tomorrow or how a person may react, but God knows. So rely on Him who sees and knows tomorrow and the mind of man.

In time of crisis, pray to the Lord for help and the way forward. Listen and do whatever He tells you to do how and when he said it should be done. It wall always produce miracles. All the miracles of Moses came by praying, listening and acting on instruction. Even our lord Jesus confirmed the same when He mate it clear that He does not speak or act on His own but on what He hears the Father say and what He sees the Father do that is what He says and does.

John 5:19
19. Jesus gave them this answer: "I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.

God wants us to do what he tells us and not for us to use our brains and change it.
1. Since obedience is a sign of faith in God, disobedience is seen as lack of faith in God and His wisdom to deliver, heal and bring one into the place desired.
Without faith, it is impossible to please God (Heb 11:6).
2. Disobedience brings rejection by God.
3. Disobedience leads to frustration.

King Saul’s disobedience cost him the throne. God rejected him and decided to give the throne to David. His refusal to kill Agag the Amalekite king and all the livestock they took as plunder on the pretext that they were to be used as offerings to the Lord, made God to reject him and remove the throne from his lineage. The Spirit of God left him and an evil spirit entered into him to torment him.

Take God’s instructions serious and always obey them fully without delay. Do not modify the instruction. Do not carry out partial obedience, but full obedience. Do not change or discontinue carrying out God’s instruction when He has not ordered for it. Always remember that God frowns at unbelief, disobedience and rebellion. He places them in the same class with witchcraft and divination. Trust God and obey Him always.

Receive grace to continually obey God and stay in obedience in Jesus name.

2 Kings 13: 14 – 20
14. Now Elisha was fallen sick of his sickness whereof he died. And Joash the king of Israel came down unto him, and wept over his face, and said, O my father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof.
15. And Elisha said unto him, Take bow and arrows. And he took unto him bow and arrows.
16. And he said to the king of Israel, Put thine hand upon the bow. And he put his hand upon it: and Elisha put his hands upon the king’s hands.
17. And he said, Open the window eastward. And he opened it. Then Elisha said, Shoot. And he shot. And he said, The arrow of the LORD’S deliverance, and the arrow of deliverance from Syria: for thou shalt smite the Syrians in Aphek, till thou have consumed them.
18. And he said, Take the arrows. And he took them. And he said unto the king of Israel, Smite upon the ground. And he smote thrice, and stayed.
19. And the man of God was wroth with him, and said, Thou shouldest have smitten five or six times; then hadst thou smitten Syria till thou hadst consumed it: whereas now thou shalt smite Syria but thrice.
20. And Elisha died, and they buried him. And the bands of the Moabites invaded the land at the coming in of the year.

Elisha the prophet gave instructions to King Joash of Israel who came to see him to encourage him because he was ill without explaining why he gave the instructions and what he intended to achieve. He expected the King to trust him as a man of God and just obey what the Spirit is asking him to tell him. The king obeyed the first instruction and shot his arrow with Elijah proclaiming, “The arrow of the LORD’S deliverance, and the arrow of deliverance from Syria: for thou shalt smite the Syrians in Aphek, till thou have consumed them”. The second instruction was not clear to the king why he should continue to strike the ground with his arrow, so after three times, he stopped. This angered the Prophet because he didn’t tell him how many times he should strike the ground, neither did he ask him to stop. At this juncture, he told him why and what he would have gained if he had struck the ground up to five or six times. The key to miracles and breakthroughs is trusting in the integrity of the man of God and whom he represents, and doing what God commands.

Just do what God tells you though you do not understand why and what He intends to achieve. Obedience will pay you at the end of the day, because you will eventually understand why.

Note: Elisha didn’t tell him to stop, he only told him to strike the ground. He was expected to continue until the man of God changes the instruction. Sometimes, we start obeying God, then we stop when He has not changed His instructions to us. As a result, he lost the opportunity of winning over Syria more than three times. Trust the Lord with all your heart when He speaks to you either directly or through a vessel. Never change what God has instructed until He instructs otherwise.

I pray that you will be sensitive enough to know when God is speaking to you and trust Him and obey and never change what He has commanded until He instructs you to do so in Jesus name. Receive grace to resist the temptation to stop obeying God half way for any reason in Jesus name.

JESUS HEAL THROUGH INSTRUCTIONS

John 9: 1 - 7
1. And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. 2. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? 3. Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. 4. I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. 5. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. 6. When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, 7. And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

In my study of the healing and miracle ministry of the lord Jesus, I observed that most of the healing and miracles of Jesus involved the intended beneficiary to carry out some instruction before the miracle will be manifested. The ten lepers were asked to go and show themselves to the priest, on their way in obedience to His instruction; they got healed and one of them returned to give thanks (Luke 17:12-16). In our text a man born blind was asked to go and wash in the pool of Siloam. When he did, he regained his sight. Note, that before the washing, Jesus had anointed his eyes with mud mixed with His spittle (saliva), but he didn’t see. It was when he washed at the very place he was sent by Jesus, that he began to see.

In Mark 2: 11-12 we see Jesus instruct a bedridden man who couldn’t stand to rise up and take his bed and go home. How can a man who is bedridden and has not been able to walk for a long time pick up his bed? His people carried him into the room through the roof so it is obvious that he could not walk; yet Jesus asked him to take his bed and go home. If Jesus had prayed for him, and declared to him he was healed, it would have been understandable and encouraging, but He didn’t. He wanted him to respond in faith. When the man made the move, strength entered into him and he was healed. All of us must respond in faith by acting on the instructions of God to take hold of our miracles.

Mark 2: 11 - 12
11. I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. 12. And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

When you pray to God through Jesus Christ, be sensitive to the Holy Spirit to know what God will have you do to have what you are asking Him. Miracles happen, when we receive instruction and obey them completely and promptly.

I pray that your eyes be opened to see in the spirit, your ears to hear God clearly, your mind to comprehend and understand what God is saying and demanding of you and that the Father will give you the courage to obey His instruction in Jesus name. Obedience is key to making miracles happen. Elisha gave the widow of the late prophet who came to him to complain of her husband’s creditor who wants to take her sons except she paid up the debt the husband owed, to do four specific things.
1. Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars.
2. Don't ask for just a few.
3. Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons.
4. Pour oil into all the jars, and as each is filled, put it to one side.

The woman did as she was instructed and borrowed many jars. She didn’t borrow a few. She locked herself and her children inside with a determination not to open the door, even when someone nocked on the door until she finished pouring into all the jars. This heroic act of obedience liberated her and her sons from their indebtedness. She sold the oil to pay her husband’s debt and started a brand new life of abundance. She was completely delivered from poverty and bondage by her complete obedience to the instructions of the Man of God.

Pay attention to whatever instruction or instructions God will give you from time to time. Obey completely without leaving anything out or modifying the instruction of God. Each time a challenge surfaces, pray and listen. Listen well and do exactly as you are told and commanded, and you will see miracles.

I pray that you will always be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit and every instruction of God to you and be quick to obey at all times in Jesus name.

*LISTEN AND OBEY TO HAVE YOUR BREAKTHROUGH*

John 2: 1 - 11
1. On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus' mother was there,
2. and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding.
3. When the wine was gone, Jesus' mother said to him, "They have no more wine."
4. "Dear woman, why do you involve me?" Jesus replied, "My time has not yet come."
5. His mother said to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you."
6. Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons.
7. Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water"; so they filled them to the brim.
8. Then he told them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet."
9. They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside
10. and said, "Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now."
11. This, the first of his miraculous signs, Jesus performed in Cana of Galilee. He thus revealed his glory, and his disciples put their faith in him.

The secret of miracles and breakthroughs is listening to the Holy Spirit and taking His instructions very serious and acting on them. If you want a breakthrough, “Do whatever He tells you”. Do not add, and do not subtract. Do not try to reason it out. This is where we miss God. We try to use our brain, and at the end of the day, we cancel what God has instructed, and we wonder why there is still no change. That you pray, fast, serve and give does not mean things will just change. You must listen to God to know what should be done so change can come. When you are not listening, you are not ready for miracle.

At Mary’s instruction, the servants waited on Jesus with intent to do only what he tells them. They filled the jars with water that they themselves drew out from the well. Then returned to Jesus to inform Him it has been done, and waited for further instructions. At a fresh instruction, they drew some from the jars and took same to the master of ceremony who requested to taste the wine knowing fully well the wine for the wedding had already finished. He declared the new wine as better than the first and yet had no idea where it came from. The miracle happened as the servants stepped out in faith and obeyed the simple instruction given to them though they didn’t understand how water can become wine and why Jesus will ask them to fetch and give water in the place of wine. If you want a change of experience, listen as you pray and act immediately on whatever instruction the Holy Spirit either directly or through His minister will ask you to do.

Hearing and doing what God tells you will shorten your time of waiting and travail in prayers. Learn to listen when you enter God’s presence than talk too much.

Ecclesiastes 5:1-2
1. Guard your steps when you go to the house of God. Go near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools, who do not know that they do wrong. 2. Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few.

Receive grace to pay attention to what the Holy Spirit will instruct you to do to bring about your heart desire in Jesus name. May you not overlook, ignore, forget, postpone action on what you are told in Jesus name. May your brain never get in the way in Jesus name.

Why is the chip being implanted exactly where the Bible says it would be? Why on the hand and forehead. Why not anywhere else?

And guess what! The chip is connected to your financial details.
What breaks my heart the most is that many people in the Church will not make it if JESUS comes now?
Many are unaware that the end is near.
Don’t tell me that it's advancement in technology or development.
If any area of your life is not in sync with GOD’s word, repent and be converted.
If you miss heaven you can never miss hell….. think about it.
Hell is not a pretty place.
The worst part is that it is for eternity…
He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says to the church.

If you don’t value your relationship with God, you will never fight to strengthen and keep it. It is the value you place on a thing that determines the way you attend to it and level of commitment. God must be number one in your life – He must come before everything in your life.
a. It is the value you place on the Lord Jesus Christ that determines how you relate with Him – the amount of time you give to Him, how you worship Him, what you do with His instructions and how much you are willing to sacrifice for Him.
b. The value you place on your Pastor determines how you relate with your Pastor, whether you will pray for him or not, support him, provide for his needs and work with his teachings and counsel.
c. The values you place on fellow believers determine how you see them, treat, relate with and partner with them.

The value you place on Jesus can be quantified and measured. Your words and actions prove your value for God and His people. The way you attend to the word of God and serve in His vineyard prove the value you place on God. How quick you are in obeying God’s instructions to you and your willingness to comply with His will for your life proves the value you place on Jesus. Your daily conduct and behaviour show where you place Jesus in your life. If the Lord Jesus is your Everlasting Father, you will honour Him in all that you say and do. If He is your Master, you will respect His desires of you and instructions to you. Live your life for His glory. Honour your Heavenly Father and Lord daily in all things and at all times.

To be connected is to be linked to, joined together with, associated with, attached to and united to someone or something.

To stay connected is to resist any separation, feed and nurture the relationship so it will stay healthy, strong and fruitful.

Connection has to do with relationships. There are different kinds of relationships:
1. Relationship with God
a. Relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour, Lord and King
b. Relationship with your Pastor
c. Relationship with other believers

2. Relationship with man
a. Relationship with Spouse
b. Relationship with children
c. Relationship with Parents
d. Relationship with siblings
e. Relationship with in-laws
f. Relationship with friends
g. Relationship with your employers and colleagues
h. Other human relationships.

The relationship that we are concerned in this study is the relationship that we have with God. It is because of this relationship that Jesus came down to earth and sacrificed Himself to bring us into this wonderful and ever rewarding relationship with our Heavenly Father. It is essential that we feed and nurture this all-important relationship. We must all resist any attempt by the enemy to weaken our love and commitment to God or cut us off completely. We must not allow other relationships, work, social life and activities to weaken our relationship with the Lord. Adequate time must be invested into this relationship daily.

Every relationship requires an investment of quality time. You must make yourself available for fellowship with the Lord Jesus. Invest time in studying and meditating on the word of God. Invest time in worship and prayers. Invest time serving and working with and for the Lord. Give yourself wholly to the Lord and you will enjoy the full benefits of being in a relationship with the Lord.

Staying connected to your relationship with the Lord is resisting the devil and making sure that you are growing in the relationship and enjoying it. Refuse to quit following and worshipping the Lord. Resist sin and evil at all times.

James 4:7

1. to the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour, Lord and King

I pray that you will keep your relationship with the Lord Jesus at the top of all your relationships and you will not allow any other person or thing to push it down the order of priorities in your life in Jesus name.
