*_Even now men cannot look at the light when it is bright in the skies, when the wind has passed and cleared them. Job 37:21 ɴᴋᴊᴠ_*
*We Will See the Light*
The message from Elihu is full of understanding. This friend of Job probably understood better than his other friends how Job was feeling: “Now you cannot see the light that shines in the firmament of heaven.” If one is really downcast and suffering in his heart, the sun can shine all day long, but the light does not penetrate the darkness of his soul. It does not warm him and does not comfort him in his sorrow.
Such understanding can help. Job understood: there is one among my friends who is not too quick to judge me, who does not simply offer advice. He is one who does not just come up with solutions without first understanding my situation.
How sensitively Elihu expresses himself: someone who is in a condition like Job’s may not see the light, even though the light is there. It is there! A cloud could cover the sunshine. You could also withdraw from this warming and healing light because you would prefer to withdraw, but that would not take the sun out of the sky, nor would it stop it from shining.
And “the wind has passed and cleared them.” The very wind that turns the water into waves, makes the atmosphere restless, and makes you shiver with coolness—this wind will in the end drive away the clouds and let you see the light again.
Count on God, knowing that He will not leave you in darkness. The wind of circumstances is in His hand to bring you back into the light. And when Jesus returns for us, all darkness and cold will be gone forever. In His light we will see the light (Ps. 36:9). A morning without clouds will dawn for all of God’s children forever!

*_Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life. Revelation 2:10_*
*Patrick Hamilton – Faithful unto death*
Patrick Hamilton (1504–1528) was a descendant of the Scottish King James II. During his studies in Paris, he came into contact with the teachings of Luther. As he studied the New Testament, he soon gained a deep knowledge of the Word of God, which is “the truth” (John 17:17). In 1527, he went to Germany to deepen his knowledge.
At the University of Marburg, Hamilton wrote a book in which he highlighted the contrasts between the Law of Moses and the gospel, between works and faith. He testified to the biblical truth that one is not justified before God by good works but only by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 1:17).
A few months later, Hamilton returned to his homeland of Scotland to strengthen the faith of his countrymen: he preached the Word of God and witnessed many of his family members, some nobles, as well as numerous farmers and workers believing in the gospel of God’s grace.
Shortly thereafter, at the age of 24, Patrick Hamilton was charged with heresy for certain statements in his book and sentenced to death by burning at the stake after a brief trial. The day of his execution was February 28, 1528. It took six hours for the sentence to be carried out because the wood of the stake didn’t burn properly. During this agonising time, Hamilton rejected all attempts to make him renounce his teachings.
In the end, he prayed aloud, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.”
