THEME: Journeying with the Shepherd
(A Reflection on Psalm 23)
SCRIPTURE: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.... (Psalm 23)
Beloved, for the next couple of days, we shall be reflecting on Psalm 23. This Psalm beautifully depicts God as our personal Shepherd—guiding, comforting, protecting, and abundantly providing. Its opening line, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want,” gives the foundation: when we make God our true Guide, we lack nothing essential.
The Lord as our Shepherd leads us into places of peace, restores our souls, walks with us through dark valleys, and even sets a banquet in front of our enemies; pouring down blessings until our cup overflows .
In darkest times, the God's presence as symbolized by His rod and staff brings real comfort, defense, and direction.
God’s goodness and mercy don’t just accompany us, they pursue us all our days, and we are assured a permanent home in His presence.
Beloved in Christ, isn't it interesting to know that God is not a distant provider? Yes He is not! He is our living Shepherd, personally pursuing, nourishing, guiding, and protecting us every step of the way. In Christ, we lack nothing that truly matters and walking closely with Him we are sure of divine directions in all ramifications.
MEDITATION: Like a sheep, if you choose to obey the Shepherd and be daily fed by Him in the green pastures of His Word, your prosperity in all ramifications is guaranteed.
PRAYER: Shepherd of my soul, I thank You for walking with me—both through green pastures and through the darkest valleys. Thank You for restoring my soul, pouring out blessings, and pursuing me with Your steadfast love. Help me to trust Your presence today, to rest in Your abundance, and to walk forward in confidence, knowing that You are with me and that Your goodness will never leave. In Jesus name,
Amen!

TOPIC: Living with Eternity in View
SCRIPTURE: "So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom." (Psalm 90:12)
This is a humble prayer, urging God to give us a heart of wisdom by helping us recognize the brevity of life. It's a call to live intentionally, with eternity in view. The verse is packed with eternal significance. It is both a prayer and a principle that acknowledges that we do not naturally live wisely, we must be taught. It also reminds us that time is fleeting, and that without divine perspective, we can waste the precious days God has given us.
To "number our days" does not mean to count them chronologically, but to weigh them carefully. It is about living with a sense of purpose, not just passing time. And recognizing that each day is a gift, each moment an opportunity to glorify God. The goal of this awareness is not fear, regret, or despair—but wisdom. When we understand the fleeting nature of life, it should lead us to live with greater intentionality, deeper faith, and a stronger commitment to God's will.
Wisdom in the biblical sense is more than knowledge—it is living in right relationship with God, choosing what is eternal over what is temporary, aligning our lives with God’s priorities: seeking first His kingdom, loving others, serving faithfully, walking in humility, and redeeming the time.
Wisdom applies the gospel to everyday life.
It asks not just “Is this good?” but “Is this godly?”
Not “What do I want to do?” but “What is God calling me to do with my time?” Therefore, as you step into everyday, take this as a holy charge: Live intentionally – Don’t drift. Make every day count for eternity; Live wisely – Let God’s Word shape your priorities and decisions; Live dependently – Ask the Lord daily to give you a heart that sees life from His perspective.
Beloved in Christ, let us not waste our days on what doesn’t matter, let us not be lulled into complacency by comfort or convenience. Instead, let us pursue God's wisdom and fulfill the purpose for which we were created. This can only be achieved by a continuous study, meditation and application of God’s Word, and total dependence on the Holy Spirit all in obedience.
MEDITATION: Life is short, but it can be full;
Time is fleeting, but it can be fruitful;
Your days are numbered, but they can be eternally meaningful when lived under God's wisdom drawn from His Word.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father,
I thank You for the gift of life and for every breath I draw today. I acknowledge that my days are limited and that time moves swiftly. Please teach me to number my days, Lord—not in fear, to see how short life is, so that I may live each moment with purpose and with wisdom that only You can give. Give me hearts that seek Your will above all else. Help me make decisions that reflect Your priorities. Lead me to love You deeply, serve You gladly, and walk humbly with You each day, seeking counsel in your Word in Jesus name. Amen!

TOPIC: A Voice for Christ
SCRIPTURE: “He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.”
John 1:23
All who have received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour have been called to represent Him and speak on His behalf to the world. We are Christ’s Voice on earth so we must watch and think over our ultrances carefully before letting them out of our mouth.
Words are powerful, and they either build or destroy. No wonder Jesus Christ said we shall be justified or condemned by our words (Matthew 12:37). We are to speak words that build and not words that destroy. David realised this and said "Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD" (Psalm 19:14)
We are also called to propagate the Message of the Cross; the Gospel of Salvation to the dying and perishing world. Let us therefore give ourself to constant study, meditation and living of the Word of God so that we may have the right and undiluted Word of God resident in us to witness Christ to the world; in and out of season.
Beloved in Christ, If you let the Word of God take residence in you and you meditate on the Holy Scriptures day and night; ensuring to do them, you will become a Voice for Christ; speaking words that are wholesome to build the lives of your audience, and the name of the Lord Jesus Christ will be glorified.
MEDITATION: Knowing that you are the voice of Christ on this earth makes you judge your words carefully.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Word that have come to me this morning. Please let Your Word be resident in me that I may be a Voice for You anywhere I find myself and be a blessing to my audience, in Jesus’ name. Amen!

TOPIC: Never Underestimate The Enemy
SCRIPTURE: “And they returned to Joshua, and said unto him, Let not all the people go up; but let about two or three thousand men go up and smite Ai; and make not all the people to labour thither; for they are but few. So there went up thither of the people about three thousand men: and they fled before the men of Ai.” *Joshua 7:3-4*
When the nation of Israel was to engage Ai in battle, they underestimate Ai because it was a small country. The Israelites thought they needed only a few soldiers to destroy Ai, but they were defeated by the people they underestimate.
As children of God, we must never underestimate the enemy of our soul. The devil and his cohorts of darkness strategic are looking for an opportunity to destroy us (1 Peter 5:8).
When the army of Israel was chased out of the country of Ai by the army they thought was a minority, Joshua knew something was wrong and he went before Lord; God told him what the problem was and Achan was found to be the culprit. He was immediately done away; with together with his entire family and that settled the score (Joshua 7:24–26).
The greatest enemy of the christian is Satan and the smallest but deadliest of his weapons of warfare is Sin. No matter how simple a sin might appear, don't give it a chance in your life it is deadly and destructive. Desist from all appearances of evil and sin. We cannot live in sin and have victory over the devil.
Beloved in Christ, keep yourself holy and wage a good warfare against evil in prayer, and through constant study and application of God’s word and you will always have victory over the enemy of your soul.
MEDITATION: The enemy you do not regard could cause your defeat in the future.
PRAYER: Gracious Father, I thank You for Your beautiful Word to me today. I have learned to keep the devil and his cohorts of darkness under my feet continually and to refrain from sin in order to keep winning. Help me to do so in Jesus’ name. Amen!
