  • THE WONDER OF WONDERS

”What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? (John 6:62).”

Did you know that the biological siblings of the Lord Jesus didn’t believe in Him throughout His earthly ministry, even after His resurrection? But when He ascended before their very eyes, everything changed. The ascension was an undeniable confirmation of His divine origin and identity. It was the wonder of wonders.

He had told the Jews that His ascension would be the proof of who He truly was when they questioned His claim to be the Son of God. He said to them, “What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?” (John 6:62). He pointed them to the ascension as an unmistakable evidence of His deity.

After the resurrection, some disciples still doubted. But on the day of His ascension, and they watched as He suddenly levitated and was taken up into heaven in full view, they had no more argument. Every mouth was stopped. What a moment! The One who was crucified and buried, the very One they thought was dead, ascended bodily into heaven!

This was when His siblings believed that He was the Christ. They didn’t return home. They followed the disciples to the upper room and received the Holy Spirit, including Mary, their biological mother (read Acts 1:9-14).

Suddenly, they realised the One who ate with them, and lived under the same roof with them, was God Himself. His ascension seals His deity and assures us of His return. This was the wonder of wonders and remains a vital part of the Gospel and the Faith that we hold so dear.

    PRAYER
How glorious you are, O Lord! My faith in you is eternal, for you’re the only true God, proven by your resurrection from the dead and glorious ascension into heaven, where you live forevermore. I proclaim your majesty and live with the consciousness that you reign forever as King of kings and Lord of lords. Amen.

    FURTHER STUDY:

Acts 1:9-11 (KJV) ”And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.”

1 Timothy 3:16 (KJV) ”And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory

  • DOMINION OVER FEAR OF DEATH

”Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage (Hebrews 2:14-15).”

The scripture above is as clear as it is emphatic: the Lord Jesus has completely destroyed the one who had the power of death, the devil, and delivered humanity from the fear of death. He didn’t come to give us a partial victory. His work wasn’t unfinished or incomplete. He fully defeated Satan who had the power of death.

2 Timothy 1:10 says, He _*”...abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.”*_ He replaced death with life and deathlessness. Hallelujah! This is the message of faith. This is the Word of the Gospel: death has been abolished.

Consider the early apostles; they didn’t die because they grew old or weak. The Scriptures reveal that their departure from this world was consistent with their specific calling and choice to seal the message of the Gospel with their blood. They laid down their lives; death had no power over them.

The Christian life is the transcendent life, not a slow succumbing to death, corruption or decay. You were not designed to “wear out.” The life of God in you is incorruptible; it’s divine; it’s ageless. It doesn’t diminish or deteriorate. You’re in the death-free and fear-free zone. Live in Christ’s victory every day: fearless, strong and full of life. Praise God!

    FURTHER STUDY:

Hebrews 2:14-15 (NIV) ”Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil — 15 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.

2 Timothy 1:10 (NIV) ”but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.”

John 11:25-26 (KJV) ”Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?”

1 Corinthians 15:54-55 (KJV) ”So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave,

  • THE REALITY OF RESURRECTION

”Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever (Hebrews 13:8).”

There are those who preach reincarnation, claiming that after death, a person returns in another body, perhaps as an animal, bird, insect, or even another human. But this teaching is unscriptural. The Bible teaches resurrection, not reincarnation. Resurrection is life after death, but it’s the same person who’s brought back to life by God's power. That is the truth.

Reincarnation is a lie, a false doctrine, but resurrection is God's reality. It’s interesting how many believe in what they can’t prove. Christianity can be proven. The resurrection of Christ proves His deity. Romans 1:4 says He was declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.

That’s why His Name still has power today. Whatever He accomplished before He died, His Name continues to do today. The Bible says, _*“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever”*_ (Hebrews 13:8). Furthermore, the Bible says God has appointed a day of judgment, confirmed by the resurrection of Jesus Christ (read Acts 17:31).

The resurrection is the undeniable proof that the Lord Jesus is the appointed Judge. Believing in this truth excludes the idea of reincarnation. Some misunderstand the words of the Master about John the Baptist, calling him “Elijah.” He didn’t mean Elijah reincarnated as John the Baptist; rather, He meant that John the Baptist came in the power and spirit of Elijah (Luke 1:13-17). If Elijah himself were to appear again, he would still be Elijah, not John.

The Bible also speaks of two witnesses who will minister in Israel during the last days, and many believe one of them will be Elijah, since he never died but was taken alive to heaven (2 Kings 2:11). When he appears, it will not be a reincarnation, but Elijah himself manifesting again according to God’s plan.

How about Moses? The Bible says he died and God Himself buried him (Deuteronomy 34:5-6). Yet, he appeared with Elijah on the Mount of Transfiguration with the Lord Jesus (Matthew 17:1-3). That wasn’t reincarnation either; it was Moses in a glorified, transfigured body, demonstrating the resurrection power of God. Hallelujah!

  • THE EXPRESSION AND EMBODIMENT OF DIVINITY

_”For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell (Colossians 1:19).”_

The Lord Jesus is much more than a great or highly honoured religious leader; He’s the totality of divinity in flesh. He’s the embodiment of Deity. Titus 2:13 describes Him as “the great God”: _“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.”_

He’s also the totality of all wisdom and knowledge: Colossians 2:3, _“In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”_ Hallelujah! When He walked the streets of Galilee, Nazareth, and Jerusalem, that was Wisdom walking; that was Wisdom personified; God in the flesh was taking His steps upon the earth.

When this understanding dawns on your spirit, you’ll know what it truly means to be identified with the Lord Jesus and to pray in His Name. His Name has all authority in heaven, in earth, and under the earth. And in the Book of Revelation, the Bible tells us something staggering; when the Apostle John saw the great throne of Almighty God, the One seated upon it was the Lord Jesus. That tells you who He really is.

In the Old Testament, God revealed Himself to Israel through different names: Jehovah Rapha (the Lord my healer), Jehovah Tsidkenu (the Lord my righteousness), Jehovah Shalom (the Lord my peace), and so on. But the Bible says He has magnified His Word above His name (Psalm 138:2). Who’s the Word? Jesus Christ; He’s the Word made flesh.

Now the Bible says, _“...at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father”_ (Philippians 2:10-11). To know Him is to love Him, for He is the very expression of God’s person, glory, righteousness and love. Blessed be God!

  • THE POOR IN SPIRIT

”Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 5:3).”

When the Lord Jesus said, “Blessed are the poor in spirit,” He wasn’t referring to those who lack material possessions. Rather, He meant those who, in their spirits, have given up everything to God. These are people who don't hold anything back in their service of the Lord. You may see them surrounded by abundance, yet in their hearts, they’ve counted those things as nothing. They can give and spend anything for the sake of the Gospel.

The Apostle Paul expressed this in Philippians 3:8 when he said, _*“Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord....”*_ You must come to that point in your life where the only thing that truly matters is the purpose of Christ, His eternal Kingdom, and the advancement of the Gospel of His salvation.

People may see you with beautiful possessions but those things don’t have dominion over you. The Spirit of God can tell you to give everything as an offering, and there’ll be no hesitation or argument. That’s what it means to be poor in spirit; you’ve relinquished ownership of everything to God. You have a heart that’s completely yielded to Him in love. Your satisfaction isn’t in the fleeting pleasures of this world but in Christ alone.

Notice what the Lord said about those who live this way; they’re the ones to whom the Kingdom of heaven belongs. The “kingdom of heaven” is the divine order of Christ’s dominion established in the earth. It’s the life and authority of heaven manifested here and now to bless and transform men’s lives. The poor in spirit dispense the glories of the Kingdom and live out heaven’s realities on earth. Hallelujah!

    PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for bringing me to a place of total submission to your will and purpose. My heart is yielded to you completely; nothing in this world holds my affection above your will. I live only for the purpose of the Gospel, to saturate the world with the Word. I’m a steward of divine treasures, using all that I have for your glory and the expansion of your Kingdom, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

    FURTHER STUDY:

Philippians 3:7-8 (KJV) ”But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. 8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ.”

Matthew 6:19-21 & 33 (KJV) “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added...

    Blessings upon blessings.

Breathing in is as vital as breathing out. In that same rhythm, I pray that as you spend on your needs, may God return to you double in provision. May your heart be drawn to those who truly matter in your life. And as God stirs you, consider supporting His work by helping one or more of our 36 vulnerable children stay in school through Apostle Peter's Foundation. With as little as $150 a term per child in Entebbe Lugonjo Division B sub county Uganda🇺🇬. You can change a life. • THE SHOUT OF A KING

Dear Father, I thank you for causing me always to triumph in Christ, and for granting me wisdom to excel in all things, to the glory of your Name. I live in health, prosperity and joy always, celebrating my victory over Satan, the world, and all the negativities of life! Thank you for giving me such a triumphant life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

    Psalm 118:15 [NIV]
Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous: "The LORD's right hand has done mighty things!

  • BEFORE YOU SAY “I DO”

Expectations Are Often Idols in Disguise_

Scripture “Little children, keep yourselves from idols.” — 1 John 5:21

    Teaching
Most premarital expectations are not hopes, they are demands. Demands create idols. Idols create disappointment. Disappointment creates accusation.

What you refuse to surrender becomes what you require from your spouse. That is not covenant; that is idolatry. When the expectation is unmet, the idol punishes the other person.

Before you say “I do,”confront this without self-defense: What do I expect my spouse to give me that God did not command them to provide? If the list is long, marriage will be short.

    Reflection
    1. What expectations do I treat as rights?

    2. Have I mistaken desire for entitlement?

    Prayer
Lord, break idols disguised as expectations. Purify my desires.

    Alignment Step
Release one demand from your expectation list today

Stop looking at your present physical condition. Stop looking at and relying on how much you have in your bank account. Stop looking at what people are saying about you! See God doing great things in your life with the eyes of faith. Imagine yourself in health, prosperity, and victory at all times!

2Cor.4.18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

  • *THE WORD AT WORK IN YOU*

_*”For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword… (Hebrews 4:12).”*_

God’s Word is living and active; it has the power to change anything and anyone. When you receive the Word into your heart, it produces what it talks about. It heals, transforms the mind, produces prosperity, and causes you to walk in victory. The Word works when it is received and acted upon. It’s programmed to produce results in the one who receives it in faith.

It’s the reason we’re enjoined to be doers of the Word and not hearers only: _*“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only…whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed”*_ (James 1:22-25). The blessing is in doing the Word. It’s not enough to hear it; you must believe it, declare it, and act on it.

When you respond to the Word rightly, it takes root in your spirit, dominates your thoughts and actions, and prevails over circumstances. Think of the Word as a living seed. Once planted in a receptive heart, it grows and produces fruits of righteousness, health and success. That is why meditating on the Word is so vital; it causes the Word to move from your head into your heart, where it becomes a living reality that governs your life, activating its creative power.

Remember, the Word created and sustains the universe and everything therein: John 1:1-3, _*“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God…All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.”*_ Hebrews 1:3 tells us that God upholds all things by the word of His power.

Therefore, the Word can and would surely build your life and your future if you give it preeminence in your life. It’ll sustain your success and prosperity, and keep you in perpetual victory. Psalm 1:1-3 (TPT) beautifully describes what happens when you’re a doer of the Word: you’re like a tree deeply planted and rooted by the brooks of bliss, bearing fruits in every season of life. You’re luscious, ever blessed and ever prosperous. Blessed be God!

“The Holy Spirit gives you understanding beyond your natural ability.”- Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (How To Pray Effectively - Volume One)

    NUGGET
You’re not meant to pray alone. The Holy Spirit interprets what you cannot express and reveals what you cannot see. Understanding grows when you lean on Him. Leadership becomes lighter when the Spirit guides your prayer.

    REFLECTION QUESTION
How often do you consciously rely on the Holy Spirit in prayer?

    DECLARATION
The Holy Spirit is my Helper in prayer.

    PRAYER
Holy Spirit, guide my prayers. Give me insight, clarity, and supernatural understanding. Amen.

  • NUGGET
Understanding opens the door to revelation. When you pray with insight, God shows you what others cannot see. Leaders rise because of revelation; they fall because of ignorance. Understanding makes you spiritually sharp.

    REFLECTION QUESTION
What revelation do you need in this season of your life?

    DECLARATION
I access divine secrets. My spirit receives revelation.

  • Impossibility is a mindset, not a reality. Faith doesn’t consider barriers, it considers God. When your faith is active, limitations break. The prayer of faith trains your mind to stop seeing obstacles and start seeing outcomes.

Today is the day The year ends and God is doing something new in your life. May your eyes be able to see it!!

Happy New Year to you and your family!!!
