Our mission is to promote health and wellness by creating a safe, fun, competitive, and educational environment while providing an inclusive infrastructure so that every child within our diverse community, regardless of financial means, may be offered opportunities at the level best suited to their growth and development, allowing them to be challenged and to experience:

Our Pathway of Play

At LMVSC, we believe every child deserves the right environment to grow. That’s why we offer a full spectrum of opportunities, from recreational programs that introduce the love of sport to elite-level competition that challenges advanced players. Our pathway ensures each child can find their place, develop at their own pace, and move between levels as they grow in skill, confidence, and passion.

LMVSC is a non-profit organization committed to providing every child in our community access to high quality sports leagues and training. We are located in Fairfax County, Virginia. While Fairfax County is the 3rd richest county in the United States, our club draws players from fourteen Title 1 schools. Every year, we are able to offer our under-privileged community scholarships. LMVSC is proudly able to offer scholarships to 1,000 players in our Basketball and Soccer programs. With over 4,000 players annually, our commitment to serving our community has been steadfast for 50 years. We are dedicated to serving for 50 more!

LMVSC was born during the summer of 1969. Three gentlemen, John Walker, Dennis Smith, and Walt Ulica, were discussing the need of youth soccer in our area. A consensus emerged that soccer didn’t limit participation for lack of size or height and could be a tool for more participation than some other youth sports. With this agreement, the Lee-Mt. Vernon Soccer Association was born.

From that humble beginning, LMVSC has expanded it’s programming to where we are today. Our Recreational Soccer Program offers clinics/leagues for players age 2-19. The Travel Soccer Program became a member of the prestigious Club Champions League in 2015. This regional league allows our travel players to compete at the highest level. Combined, more than 2,000 players participate in our soccer programs yearly.

In 2006, LMVSC became a multi-sport club by adding Basketball programs. Today, our program counts almost 1000 players. The Travel Basketball program competes in the Fairfax County Youth Basketball League against other local clubs since 2011.

With every step forward, LMVSC always remembers our goals to make players love the game and provide the opportunity to play.
