iVMS by Hikvision is a professional video management client designed to centralize the monitoring, recording, and control of Hikvision security devices. From a single interface, users can connect and manage DVRs, NVRs, IP cameras, encoders/decoders, access control panels, and intercom terminals to build a unified security system. Key capabilities include multi-screen live view, playback and clip export, PTZ control, two-way audio, event and alarm management, smart search/playback for analytics-enabled footage, and E-Map for visualized site monitoring. Role‑based permissions, encrypted connections, and audit logs support secure operations, while multi-site management helps scale deployments from small installations to larger, distributed environments. iVMS can also interface with compatible video wall decoders for control room displays and supports select integrations such as POS overlays and license plate recognition where available. Desktop versions are offered for Windows and macOS, with mobile access provided through region- and product-specific companion apps.
