Analyze microsatellite data from diploid populations by checking for null alleles with the dedicated software package for Windows. It features null allele estimates and automatically adjusts allele and genotypes frequencies, aids the identification of various genotyping errors, and can also detect typographic errors.

Micro-Checker is a Windows application that helps detect microsatellite null alleles, scoring errors, and provides null allele estimates. It also adjusts allele and genotypes frequencies. Developed by a collaboration of the Department of Biological Sciences and the Department of Computer Science, Micro-Checker is a useful tool for computer skills, languages, reference, science, and teaching.

Dear colleagues,
I am a French biologist
I have to check microsat data from lobster genotypes
Since a week, I fail entering the matrix in Micro-Checker and that's strange:
I use this software since dozens of years. So, after fails, I try ancient data on trout... which work!
When I compare the input files (trout and lobster), there is really no structure différence, but lobsters are rejected.
Could you help?£
Thanks in advane if you have time
Best
Patrick
