Ashish Kumar Sahoo 👋 reposted thisAshish Kumar Sahoo 👋 reposted thisEvery "quick question" costs developers an additional 30-50 minutes. That "recovery time" is the real cost. And it's invisible on every calendar. Context switching still remains the largest bottleneck to developer productivity. And I don't think AI can solve this one. The fix needs to be cultural: - Make it acceptable to decline meetings - Replace "quick syncs" with async updates - Encourage everyone to protect their focus time What are your favorite tips? Ashish Kumar Sahoo 👋 shared thisCant agree more on this 💯Ashish Kumar Sahoo 👋 shared thisWoke up to this on WhatsApp this morning. Mayank Tivary had sent it at 7am. YC's Spring 2026 Requests for Startups - AI-Native Agencies. I've been saying this to every TA leader and I meet for the past 2 years and most including my own TA team nod politely like I'm being dramatic. Here's what's actually happening: Traditional recruiting agencies built their entire business on sourcing as a service. Find resumes. Send profiles. Collect 8.33%. Repeat. That's the model AI is eating first. The agencies that survive won't just source - they'll screen, schedule, assess and interview. End to end. With AI workflows doing the heavy lifting. Fewer coordinators. Faster turnarounds. Consistent quality. The service offering expands. The headcount doesn't. And when you go from dropping CVs to delivering interview-ready, assessed, shortlisted candidates - you're not a sourcing vendor anymore. You're an intelligence partner. And intelligence doesn't price at 8.33%. The new 8.33% is coming - and it'll be earned very differently. Agencies that upgrade will own this decade. The ones that don't will get replaced by the ones that did. When YC puts it in a memo, maybe it's time to stop nodding politely. 👀 Javeed Khan جافيد خان, Ashish Kumar Sahoo 👋 #RecruitingTech #FutureOfWork #AIAgency #TalentAcquisition #YCombinator

Ashish Kumar Sahoo 👋 posted thisWe're hiring our first Technical Support at TidyHire. Until now, it was the founders or the product team handling this. We wanted to stay close to customers. Learn directly from them. But it's time to hand this to someone who'll own it fully. What the role looks like - → You'll work with AI Agents that are already interviewing candidates at enterprises. → Help customers actually implement AI in their hiring. → Be the bridge between customers and the product team. → Learn prompt engineering and AI configuration on the job. → Fully remote. If you have 1 year of experience and you get tech, products, and people - let's talk. Ashish Kumar Sahoo 👋 liked thisAshish Kumar Sahoo 👋 liked thisReimagining round1 interviews with AI - We're seeing that at TidyHire with Charlie - our AI technical interviewer. A candidate interviewed for an iOS Developer role yesterday. 1 hour. Live coding. Real-time assessment. Their feedback: "I felt like I'm interacting with a human and AI. Immediate response is extraordinary." Behind Charlie is a dedicated team that manually reviews hundreds of real interviews studying how great interviewers probe, follow up, and adapt. We build structured rubrics from that research before a single line of AI logic is written. Because how a candidate experiences your interview is how they experience your brand. That matters. Reimagining round1 interviews - one interview at a time. Ashish Kumar Sahoo 👋 Javeed Khan جافيد خان #HRTech #AIInterviewing #CandidateExperience #TidyHire

Ashish Kumar Sahoo 👋 reacted on thisAshish Kumar Sahoo 👋 reacted on thisSomewhere today, a brilliant candidate is being interviewed by an Interviewer having a bad day. Thirty minutes from now, that candidate's career takes a different path. Not because of their skills. Because of who happened to be on the other side of the table. We measure everything in hiring. Source quality. Funnel conversion. Time to fill. But the moment that actually decides everything — the interview — runs on mood, memory, and bias. Conscious and unconscious. I've spent twenty years in talent acquisition across organizations of every size and geography. And the hardest truth I've learned is this: the interview is the single biggest decision in a person's career, and it's the one we run with the least consistency. The same candidate, interviewed by two different managers, gets two different outcomes. We've all seen it. We've all quietly known it. A distracted interviewer, a rushed slot before lunch, a question sheet abandoned halfway — and someone's offer disappears. That's what we're fixing at TidyHire. Charlie our AI interviewer runs the entire first-round interview — live, adaptive, calibrated to the role and the candidate's experience, with a structured scorecard the moment it ends, and with same rigor for every candidate. At 10 AM or midnight. In Mumbai or Dubai. Because a career should be decided by what a candidate can do. Not by who interviewed them. Ashish Kumar Sahoo 👋 reacted on thisAshish Kumar Sahoo 👋 reacted on thisLast week, I officially started my full-time role as a Software Engineer at Param.ai 🎉 Looking back at the journey that began on 3rd February 2025, I realize it wasn't just about learning how to write code, it was about learning how to think like an engineer. When I joined, I had very little real-world development experience. Like many students, I knew how to write code, but I didn't know how software was actually built, maintained, reviewed, deployed, and debugged in production. Over the last 16 months, I've done everything a young developer can imagine: ✅ Shipped features ✅ Broken production ✅ Spent late nights debugging issues ✅ Learned from code reviews that completely changed how I think about engineering ✅ Asked countless questions to my teammates ✅ Explored technologies I had never heard of before What made this journey special wasn't just the work—it was the people. Param.ai gave me a team that feels more like a family. A place where asking questions is encouraged, discussions are open, mistakes are treated as learning opportunities, and everyone genuinely wants you to grow. Most importantly, they trust you with real responsibilities from day one. Being part of a small team also meant getting ownership early. Instead of working on isolated tasks, I had the opportunity to contribute to real products, real users, and real business problems. That experience accelerated my growth far beyond what I could have imagined. Some of my biggest learnings: 1️⃣ Readability beats cleverness Simple, structured, and readable code is almost always better than fancy syntax or overly complex solutions. 2️⃣ Consistency matters A code review once taught me that even good code should align with the existing codebase. Consistency makes software easier to read, understand, and maintain. 3️⃣ Debugging is a superpower AI can generate code, but finding the root cause of a problem and fixing it efficiently remains one of the most valuable engineering skills. 4️⃣ Learn to explore before asking I've learned to investigate, experiment, and read documentation before seeking help. It builds independence and accelerates learning. 5️⃣ Learn fast, adapt faster I once spent an entire summer learning React. Today, technology evolves much faster, and the ability to learn quickly has become a skill in itself. I'm deeply thankful to my teammates Soumya Ranjan Bishi, Aman Kr. Singh, Dayanidhi Dehury, Debhyalok Jeet , Sreethan Reddy, G Madhabananda Patra, Tejasri for their guidance, support, trust, and countless code reviews throughout this journey. I'm equally grateful to our founders Ashish Kumar Sahoo 👋, Hari Krishna M, Javeed Khan جافيد خان for building an environment that encourages learning, ownership, and growth from day one. Looking back, I'm grateful for every bug, every code review, every production issue, and every challenge that pushed me to grow. The journey is just getting started, I'm excited for everything that's ahead.

Ashish Kumar Sahoo 👋 liked thisAshish Kumar Sahoo 👋 liked thisEngineering asked for AI tools. Got it approved. Started using it. Marketing did the same. Sales did the same. Finance did the same. They didn't try to boil the ocean. They didn't wait for the perfect enterprise solution. They started small with $100/month subscription and started using it. And moved on. TA? We're still in the comments section arguing about whether AI kills the human touch. And the worst part? Nobody implemented some giant enterprise tool. No million-dollar rollout. No transformation program. Just a basic Claude or ChatGPT subscription. $100/month. That's literally what separates us from every other function right now. For $100 your team stops spending 3 hours on a weekly report. Candidate emails don't take 20 minutes each. Job descriptions aren't copy-pasted. Scorecards don't start from a blank page. But we're not asking for it. Somewhere in your org right now there is a leadership conversation happening. "Except TA - everyone else is on AI." That's the sentence being said about your function. In a room you're not in. Stop debating. Start asking. Start using and then debate. #TalentAcquisition #AI #HRLeadership #FutureOfHR #GCChiring

Ashish Kumar Sahoo 👋 liked thisAshish Kumar Sahoo 👋 liked thisHiring hasn't changed in decades. The problems have just gotten more expensive. Slow screening. Scheduling chaos. Ashish Kumar Sahoo 👋 liked thisAshish Kumar Sahoo 👋 liked thisFour years. Done. B.Tech CSE, graduated. I have finally become an engineer. But degrees don't build you. People do. To all my friends at college, thank you for always bragging about me, hyping me up, and supporting me openly. I'll always carry that with me. Ameet Sandy, thank you for taking a chance on me when I had no experience. Nile Wellness was my first real step. I learned a lot from you, apart from tech. Tarush Agarwal, even though the internship period was very short, you guys will always be an inspiration to me. The whole team at Cekura AI showed me how much more I need to work hard and grow. Ashish Kumar Sahoo 👋 sir & Soumya Ranjan Bishi sir, TidyHire has been my favorite chapter so far. Soumya sir, thank you for believing in me and often putting my decisions ahead of your own. Your trust in my judgment meant a lot. Ashish sir, your kindness, guidance, and those unlimited leaves were genuinely rare. I don't think I'll find a team quite like that again. G Madhabananda Patra, this man is just exceptional at what he does. Thanks, bhaiya, for explaining things I didn't even know I needed to understand. Huge respect. You were a real coding buddy to me there. Ayush Joshi, thank you bhaiya for replying to that cold LinkedIn message and bringing me to TidyHire. And for patiently explaining little things about Voice AI and Python along the way. I'm now a full-stack developer. I've worked on real products, worked with real teams, and learned from people who are genuinely excellent at what they do. Now let's hope I continue to build something worth talking about. See you all around.

Ashish Kumar Sahoo 👋 liked thisAshish Kumar Sahoo 👋 liked thisOur ARR is just ARR. Money that customers have actually paid us, in the last 12 months, for a product they actually use. No pilots counted. No signed-but-not-deployed contracts. No annualized run rate from one good week. No multi-year discounts amortized backward into the present tense. The number is smaller this way. I'm fine with that. Nobody is going to write a TechCrunch article about us. No VC is going to kingmake our headline. We don't have a headline. We just have customers.

Ashish Kumar Sahoo 👋 reacted on thisAshish Kumar Sahoo 👋 reacted on thisWork-life balance is a scam in your 20s. We are adding to $1M ARR every 30 days by doing something people think is toxic. And I'd do it again tomorrow. Every productivity influencer on LinkedIn will tell you the same thing: Rest is productive, burnout is the enemy, hustle culture is dead. But for years before I started building Gushwork and more so, since then, I have always worked 14-16 hour days. Weekends included. No "balance," no "boundaries," no logging off at 6pm to protect my peace. There might be a couple of one-offs in a year where you switch off for family or chores - but let's face it, most folks in 20s switch off for things which do not fall in either of the buckets. And it's not just me - I have seen most of my idols, mentors and managers who have shaped the world in a meaningful way - they have done the same. I've been a VC and talked with thousands of founders. Now I'm a founder myself and have built a team of my own. And the pattern is impossible to ignore. The people who have earned the right to influence the world in a meaningful way in their 40s did not protect their evenings in their 20s. They put in the reps while everyone else was optimizing for comfort. Here's what nobody tells you about your 20s: It is the only decade of your life where you have full energy, no real responsibility, and a brain that absorbs new skills faster than it ever will again. I'm not telling you to destroy yourself. I'm telling you to be honest about what game you're playing. If you want a normal life, work normal hours. But if you want to build something real or aspire to change the world, and you're spending your 20s protecting your evenings, you're not in the race. You're watching it. More so now, because you are actually in a race to be more value additive than AI.
