So I got tagged by azewewish for this and I'm pretty sure she did it a) because she really wants me to write this fic and b) because she knows I need the kick in the ass right now. Either that or it's because she's sadistic and enjoys my pain. Then again, it could be all of the above. Anyways.

"You realize I know eight ways to kill you with those, right?" Bucky asks, just to see if Clint will flinch. Most people do when confronted with any blatant reminders of just who – and what – he was and is.
"Yeah?" Clint barely glances up as he shuffles the cards. "Cool. You'll have to teach me."
There's a half-beat of stunned silence as Bucky stares at him. Did he just...? "You're not scared I'll do it now?"
Bucky continues to stare as Clint finishes shuffling and deals out the cards. The first two go face down in front of him, then five get flipped face up, but Bucky pays no attention to them. Six weeks since they first locked him in this suite, and the only person to treat him as if he isn't a threat is Steve. Even Natalia fears him and with good reason. But Clint isn't scared of him.
"If you were gonna do that, you wouldn't be in here. Besides, I had a god inside my head once, fucked me up six ways to Sunday, so nothing you can do to me can be worse than that," Clint says when the cards are all in place and his fingers are resting the two in front of him. "Anyway, Tasha knows nine ways."
"She lied," Bucky replies automatically, not quite able to believe they're having this conversation.
"I'll be sure to tell her you said that."

Now that reveals are live, I can post mine. There's a story behind it and it's not the one I originally intended to write, but I like how it turned out and my recipient loved it. So it was a success (even though Brenda and I apparently switched brains this year because I'm the one who went down to the wire and posted the night before it was due).
