Tasks are Remindax's work-tracking module. A reminder tracks a document's expiration; a task tracks something a person needs to do. Tasks are standalone — they aren't directly linked to specific reminders. Each task has an Owner (who's accountable for it) and an Assignee (who's doing it), and the assignee can be either a Remindax user or a contact (someone external).

Open Tasks and click New Task. Fill in the title, priority, due date, owner, and pick the assignee — first the Assignee Type (User or Contact), then the specific user or contact. Add description, tags, recurrence, notifications, and attachments as needed, then save. The task lands in Open status by default, and if the assignee has a valid email they're notified by email.
Tasks have six fixed statuses: Open, To Do, In Progress, Review, Completed, Canceled. The assignee (or anyone with task_update permission) moves the task through the lifecycle as work progresses. Statuses are fixed in the product — they're not workspace-configurable. Overdue tasks don't auto-change status; they're surfaced by visually highlighting the due date in red.
When you create or edit a task, pick Assignee Type (User or Contact), then pick the specific assignee. The assignee gets an email notification on assignment (if they have a valid email). To reassign, open the task and change the assignee. Important: Remindax doesn't support bulk reassignment via multi-select, and removed users keep their assigned tasks — reassign manually before offboarding.
