RF Chokes

RF Chokes (rings, cores, or ferrites) are useful to suppress common mode current on the outside of wire or coax. They do not suppress RF inside the wire/coax. Loop as many turns of wire/coax through the chokes as possible, each turn squares the amount of RF blocked.

They can also be used as cores to wind your own baluns.
