Currently both the backend and frontend printers/formatters/serializers incorrectly transform the following expression: ``` up * ignoring() group_left(__name__) node_boot_time_seconds ``` ...into: ``` up * node_boot_time_seconds ``` ...which yields a different result (including the metric name in the result vs. no metric name). Not sure how to be succinct and simultaneously clear about it, but basically you were affected if you had an expression with empty
In these cases, the expression would be formatted incorrectly (in display, but also in execution, when the result of the formatting was used to execute the query again) and the resulting query would probably have produced an evaluation error, since the entire |
