@amirh this adds the deprecated API to allow plugins to continue working. It seemed like the presubmit checks are slow for the revert, so if this manages to make it through before the other PR finishes running cirrus, a fix forwards may work just as well. |

Re-add deprecated method for plugin migration compatibility.
This allows plugins to continue to use old visitTextSpan API without having to choose between supporting master vs stable.
