Stuck

The shades of green, the scent of humid soil, and the glorious silence should comfort and regenerate a troubled mind. Or so they say.

“What’s this?”
“It’s cave art. They always did that kind of thing. It defines them.”

Candles Everywhere

Winter is a time of darkness. It evokes a deep-rooted fear in humans; the fear of predators and the fear of the unknown that lurks in the night. Just ask your children if you don’t believe me.

My shoes lie on the shore, I shall not miss them. The sandals on my feet have always been more comfortable.

Same Procedure As Every Year, James

NaNoWriMo time is approaching fast and I’m busy getting my ‘world-bible’ organized for the second part of my fantasy WIP. I’ve had a lot of fun with it lately and my head is caught up in this world, that’s why I’ve been neglecting Rochelle Wisoff-Fields’ FridayFictioneers for now. I hope to get back to that in December.

I’ve faithfully contributed to three writerly prompt hashtags over on Mastodon and this has given me so much insight into my characters and my world… it’s incredible. The hashtags there are #WordWeavers, #WritersCoffeClub and #PennedPossiblities.

I really look forward to November and hope that I can pull it through. I love the intensity of the NaNo experience, the deep-dive into the writing I never find on normal days because there’s always some ‘normal-life demand’ distracting me. November is an exception, I try to keep other favorites on hold. No binge watching, not much reading.

I’ll be gah_learner there as usual. If you want to buddy, you’ll find me there. Sorry I had the wrong username gahlearner there first. Can’t even remember my handle… 😛

To my favourite niece Darla I leave my wood cabin and everything in it.
Favourite niece? I’m beginning to doubt it.
