How We Support Families
Finally Home believes in supporting the whole family. We have programs designed specifically for all members in their various life stages. Our research-based curriculum teaches healthy communication and connection strategies that help individuals and families thrive. We also create opportunities for families to gather together, in person and virtually, to build community and additional support networks.
Parents and Caregivers
Our signature program, Survival Skills for Healthy Christian Families, is available on-demand through Resilient Roots and in person through Family Strengthening Conferences. Families can also access one-on-one support through our Family Support Program.
Youth in 6th - 12th Grades
Solid Rock Students is designed for youth in foster, adoptive, and kinship families. This program gives them tools to discover what makes them unique and valuable and how they can establish healthy connections with others. Our workbooks can be delivered in one on one mentoring settings or group events. Group events allow the added bonus of building community with other youth.
Children Infant to 5th Grade
SuperHero Academy provides a way for children to learn skills and character traits that build resiliency. Through our eight SuperHeroes, they learn strategies for how to manage their BIG emotions and think about what they want before acting.
Finally Homes Virtual Programs Qualify for CEUs!
All Finally Home training qualifies for certified parenting education/ licensing credits. Certificates are provided at the end of each series. Participants are responsible for securing course approval by the qualifying agency prior to registration. Finally Home can provide curriculum information upon request.

Family Support
One-on-One Guidance and Mental Health Support
Finally Home’s Family Support team exists to offer resources and support to foster, adoptive, and kinship families who are in need of mental health services. We know that many of our families often feel alone in their journey, especially when that journey involves behaviors related to trauma.
Resilient Roots Membership
On Demand Programming for the Whole Family
To support families and caregivers whenever they need it and regardless of location, Finally Home has virtual versions of our signature program, Survival Skills for Healthy Families. Caregivers can watch the sessions as needed.
Family Strengthening Conferences
In Person Whole Family Training
At our Family Strengthening Conferences, trained instructors present a research-based curriculum to the parents that qualifies for parent continuing education units (CEU’s).
While adults receive their training, children and youth attend SuperHero Academy and Finally Home Solid Rock Students Programs. Due to the diversity of programs, participants can attend as a whole family, removing the need to find specialized childcare.
Finally Home has given us new perspectives on tough parenting subjects and great skills to work towards success.

Toolkits for BIG Emotions
Children who have experienced trauma often feel big emotions. The first step in learning how to safely work through overwhelming emotions is to name them.
We created the Finally Home Emotions Toolkit for parents to help their children correctly identify their emotions and establish calming strategies. Our kit contains eight different concrete items that assist children in emotional regulation. The children’s kit is for ages 4 to 12. The youth kit is for ages 13 an older. (English and Spanish)
Resilient Roots Online Training
Created specifically for the unique challenges that foster, kinship, and adoptive families face, Resilient Roots provides a combination of on-demand and live virtual sessions to help parents and caregivers when they need it most.
