Action Title: Brasas project
Description
Brasas is a project that aligns with spaces of resistance, offering an alternative to the rise of reactionary discourse in Spain. The initiative seeks to support emerging dissident artists and create a network around their creative proposals. It fosters a space for constructive dialogue, where cultural and political tools are shared and strategies are grounded in embodied practices. The event includes a range of activities: a talk, a concert, DJ performances, food sharing, and a marketplace for artisans to showcase and sell their work. By combining artistic expression with community-building, Brasas strengthens collective resilience and amplifies diverse voices within feminist and queer movements.
Target audiences: Different art collectives, feminist and queer activists, artists and the general public

Democratic Innovation
This action introduced a fresh approach to cultural and political engagement in Valencia by merging politics, art, and celebration in an inclusive and multidisciplinary format. The action curated a lineup that highlighted marginalized voices and framed politization as integral to artistic experiences. Conversations during the event challenged depoliticized narratives, sparking resource-sharing and critical engagement. The choice of a less accessible venue emphasized the need to occupy alternative spaces beyond Valencia’s cultural mainstream. Despite logistical hurdles, around 180 participants attended, confirming a demand for intersectional, politically aware events. Free entry also ensured economic accessibility, a rarity in Valencia’s nightlife scene. While the demographic leaned predominantly white and arts-focused, audience reflections on the importance of combining politics with celebration was very encouraging. The event demonstrated a strong desire for creative spaces rooted in democratic values and critical dialogue. Moving forward, Parcela de Tierra aims to strengthen outreach to underrepresented groups (disability and intergenerational) and expand local collaborations.

Democratic Innovation
This action was a meeting space in which representatives of feminist social movements and academia, and elected representatives were present. In this way, it was managed to establish channels of dialogue between organized civil society, feminist and critical theories, and public institutions with the aim of overcoming the traditional fragmentation between these three blocks, which implies a weakening of democratic progress. The topic of abortion was framed in a new way since in this action the issue was formulated in terms of accesibility and also in terms of the emotional consequences and the post-abortion process when it comes to the gestational grief.
