FIERCE revitalises alliances between the feminist movement, civil society and political decision makers.

FIERCE Approach

FIERCE explores feminist and anti-feminist/anti-gender movements, activities, and discourses, examining their impact on institutions and policy outcomes across five key areas from 2010 to 2021. Using a bottom-up approach, the project builds eight country case studies and a comparative, dimension-driven analysis of how gender debates and controversies shape policy dynamics and results.

In collaboration with feminist organisations, FIERCE also develops co-creation activities and pilot actions showing how feminist knowledge and practices can foster more inclusive and resilient democracies. This impact-driven approach underpins FIERCE’s ambition to turn research into action and leave a lasting legacy in policy, activism, and public debate.
