What We Provide for Teens
FHSI offers:
- Sexual health wellness exams
- Birth control
- Pregnancy testing
Permission from your parents is NOT required but we encourage you to speak to your parents about your concerns.
You are encouraged to make an appointment even if you haven’t had sex but are considering having sex.
What can I expect from a visit?
- For prescription birth control methods (like The Pill), an appointment is required.
- When you come for a visit, you will usually NOT receive a pelvic exam or pap test unless you are experiencing symptoms.
- The primary purpose of this visit is to answer your questions and to educate you.
- This exam also includes basic height, weight, and blood pressure checks.
- You’ll learn how to properly use a condom to prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections.
- A simple, painless urine test will check to see if you have any infections.
