Drowning: Demo Review

Drowning is a short game about a teenage boy struggling with depression.  The demo lasts about 15 minutes, and the entire time is spent walking along a path in the forest while text appears.  I know the term “walking simulator” can be overused, but there are few games that really illustrate the nickname better than this one.  And it wouldn’t be so bad if the walking speed wasn’t so slow and if the story was more interesting.

Listmas 2024: Ranking the Demos I Played in 2024

To end Listmas, I’ll be listing all the demos I played throughout 2024.  Demos are like a little gift because they’re a great way to check out an unfamiliar game…for free!  I like to rank all the demos I played in order of least intriguing to those I’m most interested in buying.  Because what can get you into the Christmas spirit better than harshly judging a game you haven’t even finished?
