Our team has set the tone for covering teams in the Los Angeles area and would like to continue working with the next generation of sports producers. Our founder has created properties such as Lakers Nation and worked at Disney, SB Nation, FanSided, Time Inc. and more, so you will get one of the best overall digital media experiences in the industry.

Currently, we have partnered with Newsweek to help cover national sports topics, and our LA Sports Report website focuses on the L.A. sports scene as a whole, including the Dodgers, Lakers, Kings, UCLA and USC athletics and more!

Compensation

Editorial and Production Intern – 2026

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented editorial and production intern to join our fast-paced news and production team. This internship offers hands-on experience in the foundational elements of modern newsgathering, content production, and office operations.

What You Will Do:

The primary focus of this role is to support our daily editorial and production workflow. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Newsgathering and Research: Actively assist the editorial team in general newsgathering, background research, and collecting essential story elements (photos, video clips, statistics, quotes, etc.).
  • Archive and Asset Management: Organize, manage, and catalog our photo and video archives, ensuring all digital assets are properly tagged, labeled, and accessible for daily production.
  • Production Support: Assist the social media team and the producers of our daily YouTube shows by sourcing materials, verifying information, organizing assets, and helping with content preparation.
  • Logistics and Coordination: Help compile and maintain critical contact lists and databases for sources, guests, and organizations.
  • Guest Booking: Assist in the research, outreach, and logistical coordination for potential guests for our programs.
  • General Office Maintenance: Provide support for daily office operations, including organizing supplies, light equipment setup, and ensuring workspaces are tidy and functional.

Additional Details

  • This is an on-site position at our studio and office located in South Pasadena, CA, conveniently located across from the LA Metro A Line station.
  • This is a PAID position based on experience, and employees can expect to work between 10 and 20 hours per week, as available.
