welcome to deviantics.

The following people are important. Give them no reason to hate you.

Maintainer, Owner, Mod: retention

Co-Mod: koapthesql

Security and Random Beatings: iri3g3ck0

----------------------------------------------
this is inspired by deviantArt and design is kinky.

please visit both of those sites, and that way you have in mind what is expected
when you post.

however! that DOES NOT MEAN you need to be afraid of posting. we welcome everyone
here, unless deemed otherwise. for example, if you rip off someone's work, change
two colors and post it, we will ban you. that's crap.

but we do like art. digiart, photography, vector work, nice logos, go for it!
just be cool. this isn't a place where you come to get 'stamped' as a good or
bad artist, it's just a place where you come to be the best artist you can be.
show off! have fun!

just don't be an ass.

Probably the easiest thing to do if you don't like something, is NOT TO COMMENT
ON IT.

If you feel as though you have something helpful and polite to offer, i.e.,
"That's a great photo of that field of wildflowers. Have you thought of how
other angles might look?" or "The contrast on that window and vase is really
cool, but it seems a little unbalanced. Maybe you could try a different approach,
or work with the levels when you edit it?"

If you're still confused on the difference between constructive criticism and
insult is, check out List 1, List 2, or List 3. How are most of those communities different? They focus on the latter, we focus on the former. Just check 'em out.

Rules(you know we gotta.)

1) PLAY NICE! Make the mods lives really really easy.

2) For the time being, please do not advertise other communities. This
may change in the future. Also do not come in here telling us the So-And-So
Community is better than this one. If you don't like it, don't bug us about
it. This will *not* change in the future.

3) Learn to LJ-cut. This includes each and every entry that you're posting
images on. PLEASE DO THIS! If you don't know how to LJ-cut, read
this
. If you're still confused, please ask someone. We will help via email
or AIM.

4) Thou SHALT NOT join this community with a "more-l33t-than-you" attitude.
If your art is out there winning awards, that's all good and wonderful (links
please!), but try to keep the bragging to a mild minimum.

5) Got an idea for a theme? Post it! We'll approve it if it's good, if
not, we will work with you to improve your suggestion.

********

*THEMES*

********

We'll do this on a weekly basis, and let's keep our hopes up that this whole
thing doesn't flop. This will be chosen by the mods, after a tally of the public
votes. A pre-dated post will be set so that people can leave their votes in
the comment section, or we may make a poll. More to come on development of that.

"You SUx0r" is not an acceptable category, nor form of constructive critcism.

Judgable categories:

content: does it have anything to do with the theme?

thought content: does it strike you? does it stand out more to you than
other entries, based on theme alone?

execution: does it make you say "wow! that's just... that's someone with
too much time on their hands."

overall: which one did you like the best?
ps. i stole the category idea from euthanized's infamous photoshop battles. please go over there and give them props.

Please, no more than 2 votes per category.

Current Theme - anti-color
(we mean grayscale. black & white. whatever.)

That's it for now. This is the beginning, so bear with us during the opening
day festivities. Now get in there and be the posting fool we know you are. :)
