If any of you are reading my random post in linebyline, then you probably have seen several scenes of a story I'm writing. What some of you probably didn't know is that the scenes are posted in non-chronological order. This means that the scenes are not in proper prder. If you really want to see the correct order of the story, this is what this post is for. I will only post the scenes already posted in linebyline so the story is imcomplete until all the scenes have been modified (b/c of the prompts) and posted.

Dear Santa... Dear Santa, This year I've been busy! In August I helped vicious_lullaby across the street (6 points). Last Wednesday I ate my brussel sprouts (1 points). For one of you who has Speech class and didn't do so well on your first assignment:

I hope you're getting progress done on this next assignment. I assure you putting it off will NOT make it go away. All it will do is make winter that much colder when it strikes you unprepared. To help you, I'd like to see a rough draft of your speech by Wednesday @ 12:00pm noon. Normally, I set my due date at 11:59pm before midnight but noon is your midnight so.... Trust me, you WANT that extra day to practice your speech.

I'm watching "My Big Redneck Interventions" and thinking to myself: This can only work one way. It can only go "middle class" to "redneck". Can you imagine the backlash if there was a show that took "redneck" to "middle class"? The recknecks will consider it an assault on their very identities.

This reminds of "Queer Eyes for the Straight Guy"... I do not think the flip side of the coin would be very received.

Oh, for all you who are wondering, Pluto IX is a RPG LJ community which stopped in 2010(?). This was a really awesome game and some of us are hoping this means that game is restarting.

If you guys read that article, it speaks about how a school has cut hot lunch, PE, art, and music from their system. School is also ending at 1:15 pm. The parents in this town are really upset about this and I understand their concern.

The thing is... they kind of brought that on themselves. >_> They didn't pass a levy to get more money into the school system. They felt that the school system needed a change and a change happened. What did they expect to happen? Were they expecting the schools to go "Oh, they cut our budget because our students are below standard. Let's SPEND THE MONEY WE DON'T HAVE and get them better tools to learn with! I know WE DON'T HAVE MONEY TO BUY NEW TEXTBOOKS OR LAB EQUIPMENT but things haven't changed that much over the years right?"

I agree that this is a bad idea and shouldn't be happening. However, I know that its not the school's choice. I mean, we all have a budget and we all try to live by that budget. If you need a car to get to work, you're not going to buy the brand new Porsche with all the additional packaging if you don't have the money for it. You would buy the affordable car in your price range. It may not have all the extra things which will make your life easier but you use what you got. The school system is doing just that. Its not that they WANT to cut those programs; its they HAVE to cut them to stay within budget.

The parents do have a point though. Why wasn't anyone thinking of the children? The money being sent into the budget is FOR the students. They could get programs such as music, art, and lunch with that money. Now you're complaining that the school doesn't have the resources? Where was this complaint when they told you that they would have to cut those programs without additional money? Did you think they were bluffing?

Despite what people think, we really don't get into the education system for the money. We're not getting rich off your backbreaking work. Hell, we work more hours we're not paid for. I can personally tell you about teachers who are crashing on the couch late at night b/c they spent the entire day working their ass off to teach your kids. They had to figure out the best way to teach a concept AND MAKE IT FUN FOR THE STUDENTS. And they still don't get to relax on that couch; they have tests and homework to grade, make-up tests to write up for those who didn't take the first test, plan a unit for the next few weeks, prepare back-up plans in case the unit plans doesn't pan out, etc.

Parents, I know you're upset. But stop complaining to us about it. We're playing by your rules; if you don't like it, you can change YOUR RULES WHICH YOU WANT US TO FOLLOW!

Dear asshat,

If the street is covered in snow and every other car is moving really slowly, you may consider NOT doing the following.

1. Drive down the street fast
2. Fail to yield at a stop sign to oncoming traffic while turning left
3. Skid through all the lanes and end up on the sidewalk
4. Drive off the sidewalk back onto the street almost sideswiping the car next to you
5. Rolling down your window and shouting "Learn how to drive asshat!!!"

Most likely, the person in the other car is thinking YOU'RE the asshat in that situation and most likely every other car does too.

Dear teen male gamers,

When you see a female avatar in game, I would like to offer you this word of advice: Don't be a dick. I understand that you may not know how to interact with girls in real life but that does not give you the right be be a dick in game. Despite what Mystery from The Pick-up Artist says, women do not respond well to you diminishing their self-confidence just so you can score some virtual face-time with them.

P.S. Luci's ass is not a keg; stop trying to tap it.

P.S. #2 The line "Your pants are like mirrors; I can see myself in them" is corny and seldom works. It is even less effective if Luci is wearing priest robes and thus doesn't have pants on.

P.S. #3 While Luci's milkshake does bring the boys to the yard, stop bringing mobs along with you.

Dear Congress,

Stop this BS with SOPA and PIPA. The CEO of MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) was a US senator and he has social networks in the legislation committees. He has reasons and political influence to make a pretty penny off of this. You know who doesn't? REGULAR PEOPLE. Stop helping the rich get richer. The rest of us are getting tired of it. Does anyone have one of those days where you feel like you're living something out of someone's script? Well, I'm having an "Ours" music video day.

I have a new idea in regards to what happens in the following situation:
1. The roads are really snowy
2. School is not closed
3. No students show up for first period

The teacher should be able to call it a day and go home. We all know that there won't be any teaching after that. It would put first period a lesson behind everyone else IF they even show up for class. Compounding the problem is that its FRIDAY so students would treat this like a 3 day weekend. So... how about it school board? Can I go home because I'm not doing crap here.
