Our Staff

Greg is the Teaching Pastor of Crosspoint and has been with the church since its inception. He also serves the Jonesborough community as Chaplain for the Police Department. 

Happily married to his loving wife Shelley, Greg has four wonderful children and is called “Pops” by 11, awesome grandchildren. His favorite food is anything except vegetables and he loves spending time with his family and friends. 

Early in his career, Greg started out as a Student Pastor and grew his ministry to be a Pastor of Education and later a Senior Pastor. Throughout his 34 years in ministry, Greg has had the privilege to plant two churches in the community.

Greg (or feel free to call him “Pops”) is an avid Football fan! If you want to talk football, he is in! You can find Greg always pulling for the Tennessee Vols and Dallas Cowboys.

Yet Those who wait for the Lord Will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.

Matt is the Worship Pastor and an Elder with Crosspoint and has been with church since the early beginnings. Along with his wife Ellen, he also leads our Worship Team. Matt serves the Jonesborough community as Chaplain for the Fire Department.

A father of two amazing boys, and Matt loves spending time together with his family, especially supporting his boys’ hobbies. He loves the Lord and desires everyone to come to a saving knowledge of Christ.

In addition to spending time with his family, Matt loves football, golf, and playing guitar.

For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.

Jeremiah 29:11

Stacy is a Pastor and Elder at Crosspoint, and he heads up our A/V ministry for
Sunday mornings. His family has been part of Crosspoint since our very first public
service.

Stacy is a passionate teacher as well, showcasing his Love for Christ in his ability to
share the Word of God during selective teachings and Life Groups. By day, Stacy works as a Physician Assistant for an orthopedic practice and is a proud father, husband and leader.

Stacy enjoys all things outdoors. He is an avid hunter, fisherman and hiker. He is a leader for his boys Trail Life troop. He especially enjoys spending time on the trail with his wife Sarah and the whole family.

For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.

Colossians 1:9-10.

Gary is a Pastor and Elder here at Crosspoint. Gary also leads the Greeter’s and Usher  Ministry on Sunday mornings to help people feel welcome as they attend the services. His family has been a part of Crosspoint from the early beginnings.

Outside of the church, Gary is a manager at a local company, a father, and loving husband. With his wife Mandy, he has two children who keep him busy with sports and outdoor activities. Passionate about his relationship with the Lord, Gary desires everyone to know the goodness of who God desires to be in their life.

Gary enjoys spending time with his family, which usually leads to some interesting adventures. 

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7

Cody is the Youth Pastor at Crosspoint and leader of Elevate Youth Ministry. He and his wife, Jennifer, stepped in to teach our 7th through 12th grade students in 2017. They share the Gospel with them and teach students how to share the amazing things God desires to do in and through them. In addition to his work with Crosspoint Youth, Cody enjoys serving on the worship team and hosting the Radio Elevate podcast with Jennifer. 

Prior to Cody’s work in ministry, he worked for 10 years in restaurant management. And when he was called to ministry in 2017, he left that career to work in law enforcement. With his wife Jennifer, Cody has two wonderful children, Avery and Reid. 

Cody is a former professional wrestler.

Miguel is the Next Generation Pastor at Crosspoint, and he oversees our ministry areas that impact family and next generation within the church. He previously served as an International Outreach Pastor as well as a Discipleship teacher. 

He and his wife Olivia are a blended family of two boys and five grandchildren. After serving nearly 30 Years in Law Enforcement in Southern California and ministry, God brought them to the beautiful town of Jonesborough TN. 

Miguel is an avid reader, loves photography, everything firearms, smoking meats, and has a passion for Amateur Radio communications.

…and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear.

Shelley is our Crosstown Kids Coordinator here at Crosspoint. She is a loving and energetic leader who provides a fun environment for the kiddos to learn Bible stories and grow their relationship with the Lord. 

Married to Greg,and proud mother and Nana to 4 children and 11 of the most adorable grandchildren you could ever meet. All of their Grandchildren consider themselves to be on “Team Nana.” Sorry Pops!

Shelley is an expert at texting with one finger! She is a gamer when it comes to cards and board games. Loves to cook—but only knows how to cook for six or more.

Whatever you do, do you work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.

Colossians 3:23-24

Mandy is the Connect Coordinator here at Crosspoint for our middle school ministry (5th-8th grade). She is a passionate leader who loves teaching children the importance of an intimate relationship with the Lord. 

Married to Gary, Mandy shares two wonderful children with him who keep her busy with sports, hobbies, and outdoor activities. A pediatric nurse by trade, she finds all of life is an opportunity to minister to others.

Mandy enjoys walking outdoors, shopping at craft shows, and finding new things to bake.

The Lord’s acts of mercy indeed do not end, for His compassions do not fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.

Lamentations 3:22-23

Ellen Pollock is the Ladies Coordinator and Lead Vocalist here at Crosspoint. Passionate about creating a community of strong women united in Christ, she plans regular gathering for the women of Crosspoint to enjoy time and fellowship together. 

Married to Worship Pastor Matt, Ellen is a proud mom of two amazing boys, Nathan and Daniel. When she’s not working, she loves spending time with her family camping and going on roadtrips to new places.

By day, Ellen is  a paralegal, and she loves to read and cross-stitch in her free time. She also enjoys golfing with her boys, even though her skill level is pretty poor—it’s not about winning, it’s just something they all enjoy doing together!

Sarah Melvin is the Crosstown Tykes coordinator and enjoys teaching biblical truths to the youngest in our Sunday School program. She is married to Stacy and they have four children.

All of the members of their family love serving in various ministries within Crosspoint. She has taught her children at home since each child was in Kindergarten.  A large part of her days are spent teaching and going on the many adventures tied to the interests of her children. Their house can be loud and crazy, but she wouldn’t trade it for anything!

Sarah enjoys hiking and backpacking with her family. Along with her family, she enjoys working on projects around their farmhouse and land. 

Complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.

Jennifer is the lead of Crosspoint’s Nursery and enjoys nurturing each child. She is married to Youth Pastor Cody and has two children, Avery and Reid.
 
She has her Registered Nurse degree and currently teaches high school health classes.
Jennifer loves to read! You will always find her with my Kindle, wherever she goes.
