Who We Are

Cnvrse is a lightweight live chat plugin for WordPress, operated by Wayruro Media. Our website is https://cnvrse.com.

Information We Collect

When You Visit Our Website

When you visit cnvrse.com, we collect standard web server log data including your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages viewed. Server logs are retained for 90 days and then automatically deleted. We use this information to understand how visitors use our website and to improve the Service.

When You Create an Account or Purchase a License

When you purchase Cnvrse, we collect your name, email address, and payment information. Payment processing is handled by WooCommerce Payments and Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers.

When You Contact Support

When you submit a support request, we collect the information you provide in your message, including your name, email address, website URL, and any details about your issue. We use this information solely to resolve your support inquiry.

Data Collected by the Cnvrse Plugin

This section is critical because it describes what happens on your website when you install Cnvrse.

Chat Conversations

All chat messages between your website visitors and your team are stored in your WordPress database on your own server. Cnvrse does not transmit or copy chat conversation data to our servers. You own this data completely.

Visitor Information

The Cnvrse chat widget may collect the following information from visitors who initiate a chat on your website:

  • Name (if provided by the visitor).
  • Email address (if provided by the visitor).
  • The page URL where the chat was initiated.
  • Browser user agent string.
  • IP address (stored in your WordPress database).

This data is stored locally in your WordPress database and is never sent to Cnvrse servers. As the site owner, you are responsible for informing your visitors about this data collection and obtaining any consent required by applicable privacy laws in your jurisdiction.

Third-Party Messaging Integrations

When you connect Cnvrse to Telegram, Slack, Discord, or WhatsApp Business, chat messages are forwarded through those platforms using their respective APIs. Once a message reaches a third-party platform, it is subject to that platform’s privacy policy:

License Verification

The Cnvrse plugin contacts our licensing server periodically to verify your license key status and check for available updates. This request transmits your license key, site URL, and plugin version. No personal data or chat content is included in these requests.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process your personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Contractual necessity: Processing purchases, delivering license keys, and providing support are necessary to fulfill our contract with you.
  • Legitimate interest: Website analytics and service improvement are conducted under our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the Service, balanced against your privacy rights.
  • Legal obligation: Retaining purchase records for tax and accounting purposes as required by law.

Cookies

On cnvrse.com

Our website uses essential cookies for session management and account functionality. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand website traffic. GA4 does not store full IP addresses. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.

In the Cnvrse Plugin

The Cnvrse chat widget may store a session identifier in the visitor’s browser using localStorage or a cookie. This allows the chat conversation to persist if the visitor navigates between pages. No tracking cookies are set by the plugin.

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • Process purchases and deliver license keys.
  • Respond to support requests.
  • Send transactional emails related to your purchase (receipts, license renewals, critical security updates).

We share your information only with the following categories of service providers, and only to the extent necessary to operate the Service:

  • Payment processors (Stripe) to handle transactions.
  • Email service providers to send transactional emails.
  • Analytics providers (Google Analytics 4) to understand website traffic.

Our servers are located in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and other appropriate safeguards to ensure your data is protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Data Retention

We retain your account and purchase information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide support. Server logs are retained for 90 days. Purchase and transaction records are retained for 7 years as required by tax and accounting regulations. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Chat data stored by the Cnvrse plugin on your server is entirely under your control. We cannot access or delete it because we do not have access to your database.
