| I've been reading the Journal series Silvarbelle and Crystalicsky wrote and stumbled on this randomly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Mb5QgXEGUg&feature=relatedI thought of Chase Young and had a good laugh. To me, the guy with the dog food made me think of Jack Spicer (and then the whole lip licking as he passed gave me pervy ideas, but that's a different topic). But if Jack is the Dog food guy... who are the other three dudes? What are they doing being trained by Chase with Jack in their presence but not participating (in fact, doing "menial" labor)? Anyway, all of this caused me to wonder: What method/agenda/regime/circumstances would Chase use to "train" Jack if he did take him into his... keeping (I couldn't think of a better word). REALLY think about this. What is the mostly likely use Chase would have for Jack and how would that work? Would he try to train Jack as a warrior? Would he start out physical or mental exercises? Would he train Jack at all? Would he be subtle or blunt? Would he be open or reserved? Would he be hands on or off? Are they to be partners one day? Will they eventually compete? Is it possible Jack would turn (either on Chase or turn good, either or)? (Not that it isn't fun, but try to keep the pervyness out) Would they be "lovers"? I would really like you to think and put down an answer before reading anyone else's. Why? Because there is not suppose to be a right answer or a debate. I just feel like I'm seeing the same "method" to train Jack in every fanfic and I wonder if we can get the ball rolling on some other plots. I would love to hear from everyone. That and I just think it's a good mental exercise. | |

| So, I just got back into Chack and I forgot how much I love it. I've reread a bunch of my old favorites, but I can't find one and not being able to locate it is killing me. What I remember about the story is that Chase and Jack have been together for a while and Chase decides to try something new. He asks Jack to have sex with him in his reptile form and Jack agrees. Awesome reptile sex ensues.

| Alright, so, I guess it happens to everybody, but I just had a brain-fart of epic proportions. For weeks, I've been going around on deviantART and Fanfiction.net trying to pimp a story I co-wrote with  silvarbelle , The Diary Project. Basically, this project is a year's worth of diary entries from the perspectives of Chase and Jack (I wrote as Jack, Silv wrote as Chase), and yes, there is Chack. Quite a bit of it, actually. Anyway, I've recently managed to get all the entries posted up on the LJ accounts they're being hosted on and then, I started pestering people on the other sites I frequent to go make a LiveJournal account and friend the Diary accounts, as that is the only way to read them. It's been a huge hassle scooting over some of the stragglers who were reluctant to do this, so I suppose I can give myself a break on it, but in all my prodding of Chack-fans to go read this massive, (in my opinion) epic story, I completely forgot to mention it to the folks on LiveJournal. The ones who ALREADY HAVE ACCOUNTS AND DON'T NEED TO BE HASSLED. I reiterate, *facepalm* XP So, to rectify that oversight, hello, people of LJ! I was talking to silvarbelle about the third movie in the Mummy franchise, Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. I was watching it at the time hoping to be inspired to write Chack, because I was having creative urges and nothing was coming to me. In any case, I was mentioning that a downside of the film was how little time is spent with the Bad Guy. All the focus was on the Good Guys; nothing wrong with that per se, but it's hard to root for said Good Guys if you don't really have a feel for how bad the Bad Guy really is. Having seen it three or four times prior to the rewatching, I could hardly even remember what was so bad about the guy. I knew it was something about gaining immortality and taking over the world, but that's the cookie-cutter parameters for a generic Bad Guy. It's when you flesh out the Bad Guy from those parameters and give him/her depth and substance that they become an awesome villain. Example: Chase Young. And that's when inspiration struck: I realized I'd never really written a fic that explored the motives for villainy before, which is kinda ridiculous considering that my favorite pairing are two villains. Chase's motives and methods for being evil are pretty much explained in the show, and I felt that to write a fic solely about that would be a little redundant. | I'm currently working on a fic that has turned out to be much, much longer than I planned for it to be. It's currently at just under 6,800 words and will most certainly end up somewhere over 7,000.
I'm looking for someone with a knack for catching small things I tend to overlook, like using the wrong word when I meant something else and what have you. I also need someone who will be honest with me on quality control. I'd rather not post a fic that just isn't any good. Be forewarned that this fic is not for kids.

| All right, guys. I'm just going to say what we're all thinking: I'm kinda . . . okay . . . REALLY shucking at modding in the last year or so. I tend not to have time to getting around to approving entries and such.
The entries were originally open, until some members and non-members couldn't play nice or continually posted off-topic entries.
What I am going to do is this: Starting in a few minutes, I'm going to allow open posting for members. You still have to be a member of the community to post comments, which I am hoping will continue to deter people from randomly coming by and posting negative comments.
Now, if I see loads of off-topic posts or any wank, the approval will be shut down again. I really don't like approval-based posting, because I feel it stifles one's excitement over one's newest post and one's creative flair. But that's just me.
