A lot has changed for me.

1) My mother died in January of this year (2020). I fucking hate it.

2) I have a job now! Huzzah!

3) ...?

4) Profit.

Yeah, anyway, just... I'm not DEAD - I'm just super busy, which oddly enough shares the same wavelength.

In that whole "2017 yelled HOLD MY GODDAMNED LIQUOR STORE THAT IS CURRENTLY ON FIRE" at 2016 when 2106 declared itself the worst year to date.

Despite some terrible things happening to friends and family (death and injury, for the most part), I'M okay.

I finally got access to LJ again. Any messages sent to me, I'm sorry for not responding! Then again, I never got notification of them ever, anyway, despite setting my settings for such.

I'll be blunt: there are WAY easier and faster ways of getting my attention. Tumblr, for instance. I'm silvarbelle on there, too.

As to me, I'm gearing up to turn 39, putzing about with fics (I have the technological ability to write again! HUZZAH!!!), and am taking things one day at a time. My eternal (though sometimes muted) love for McShep (McKay/Sheppard) is revved up again, as is my love for McDanno (McGarrett/Danny Williams).

And I'm still obsessing over Ninja Turtles. Heck, yes, I am.

It gives me joy.

And that's the way it was on this day.

So, ya know, I don't RECOMMEND being diabetic - but if ya gotta, then make it work for you.

I got diagnosed low-end of the scale of being diabetic. One pill a day, control it through diet/exercise, blah and yadda.

I ALSO got my thyroid meds adjusted.

Honestly, I feel like I'm crawling out of a grave.

But! I got all my meds, I got my diet/exercise on track, and after four months of waiting, I gave my blood to the doc and waited to get my report card.

As of last Monday, results are:

Blood pressure/cholesterol: EXCELLENT

Blood sugar: GREAT

Thyroid: NOT DEAD YET

BMI: 3 points down

Waistline: 12 inches GONE, motherducker! BOOYAKASHAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

So, I cut my hair off to celebrate.

I'm on a bit of a Harry Potter kick again, lately, and all I can think is: I really don't LIKE Ron or Ginny Weasley. I'm off-and-on about Hermione (more on than off), but for some reason... I don't actually like Ron or Ginny.

I dunno.

And those are my thinky-thoughts for the day.

That moment when you decide to re-read a kick-ass series that you used to read ALL THE TIME because the writing is THAT damned good - and then, find out it's been so long that, when you run up against the writer's made-up language for their original characters that you FORGET HOW TO PRONOUNCE THINGS OR WHAT THE MEANINGS FOR THOSE WORDS ARE! And then, when you go looking for the glossary you THOUGHT you remembered being posted to help readers out, turns out the glossary doesn't exist?

This is gonna drive me BUGNUTS.

In other news, Florida can't decide if it wants to be cold or warm. Tomorrow, I'm gonna ignore the outernet and go hide in Gold's Gym, get a workout, and then stuff my fat and sassy ass into the sauna.

Because REASONS.

OH, JOY!

LJ *FINALLY* LET ME BACK ONTO IT.

Jeez; I MOVE and not only does the site change its appearance, but I GET LOCKED OUT long enough that I can't stop the paid account expiration from happening. BLAH. =P

ANYWAY!

I'm LOVING IT here in Florida! =D I've been swimming several times (some of them naked) in my pool. I have a walk-in closet and an en suite bathroom! =D

Y'all, I finally have a TV of my own! =D AND a Ponderosa Lemon tree that is bearing fruit!

Some of our stuff didn't make it in the move. My father's loading dolly conveniently went "missing" despite us watching the crew load it on the truck. So did a few other things, including my ceramic Jack o'Lantern and my father's floor lamp that he'd had since he'd gotten his very first apartment. Some things arrived broken.

Mom and I are not really thrilled with Mayflower.

But, so far, we're doing well and settling in happily. The house is nothing BUT windows so, finally, I can display my Christmas Tree for all to see as well as decorate a window ledge with stuff! Mom said since she got a house with a pool and got me a new mattress and a TV and some other stuff, I don't need anything under the Tree.
