MP of the week: David McAllister

This week’s featured missing person is David Allen McAllister, a 22-year-old man last seen in Bettendorf, Iowa on May 11, 2017. He’s white, with blond hair, blue eyes and a bunch of tattoos of which I have photos at the link.

I spoke to McAllister’s mom once, on Facebook. She was the one who told me the cross tattoo on his upper arm is actually yellow; it looks red in the picture because it was new and bloody.

McAllister left home in the early morning hours with his phone, his backpack and a Bible, and never came back. If still alive, he’d be 30 today.

MP of the week: Yasmin Acree

This week’s featured missing person is 15-year-old Yasmin Rayon Acree, who disappeared from Chicago, Illinois on January 15, 2008. She slept in the basement. The next day, her room seemed to be untouched with missing, not even her glasses, but the basement door lock had been cut and so had locks on an outside fence. One suspect is Jimmie Terrell Smith, who lived in the same apartment building as Yasmin and whose father was friends with her adoptive mother.

Yasmin was 5’1 and 125 pounds at the time of her disappearance. She’s black, with with brown hair and brown eyes. If still alive she would be 33 today.

MP of the week: In Chin McDonald

This week’s featured missing person is In Chin McDonald, a 31-year-old Korean-American woman who disappeared from Honolulu, Hawaii on November 19, 1999.

McDonald, a bar hostess, was last seen leaving work. She apparently never made it to her car, which was found in the bar’s parking lot the next day. Her purse was found at Blaisdell Park in Pearl City; McDonald may have been dropped off there by an older white cargo van.

If still alive, she’d be in her fifties today. Foul play is suspected in her disappearance.

MP of the week: Hang Lee

This week’s featured missing person is Hang Lee, a 17-year-old girl who was last seen in St. Paul, Minnesota on January 12, 1993. She’s Hmong, and can speak the Hmong language as well as English. She’s 5’0 and 90 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, and her bangs were dyed red at the time of her disappearance. She was last seen wearing a black leather jacket, a black t-shirt with “Skid Row” on the back, black jeans or slacks, and jewelry including two silver bracelets.

For some reason, Hang’s NCMEC poster uses a poor quality version of the above photo of her.

Foul play is suspected in Hang’s disappearance; on the day she went missing, she went for a job interview with a man who has been convicted of multiple rapes, and he lured one of his rape victims with a job interview.

If still alive, Hang would be a middle-aged woman of 50 today.

MP of the week: David Kempker

This week’s featured missing person is David Christopher Kempker, a 27-year-old man who was last seen in Sacramento County, California on March 11, 2018. He’s 6’0 and 160 pounds and white, with brown hair, brown eyes, acne scars and many tattoos.

Kempker’s friend said they were on a fishing trip and got separated. Kempker’s family, however, doubts this, as he didn’t have a fishing license or even own a fishing pole. Three days after his disappearance, his truck was found abandoned. Outside it were his hat and vest.

If still alive, Kempker would be 35 today.

MP of the week: Jonathan Ginsburg

This week’s featured missing person is Jonathan Lewis Ginsburg, a 32-year-old white man last seen in Albany, California on October 7, 1987. He has brown hair, brown eyes, a scar on his forehead, pockmarks on his face and two hearing aids.

Ginsburg has mild cerebral palsy and is deaf. He communicates with a combination of sign language and talking. His disappearance may have been a suicide, but his body has never been found.

MP of the week: Layla Adkins

This week’s featured missing person is Layla Dawne Adkins, a 32-year-old white woman last seen in Leeds, Alabama on November 13, 2008. She has blonde hair, blue eyes, pierced ears and a tattoo on her breast, and may use the last name Blizzard. She’s quite tall and was very thin: 5’11 and only 120 pounds.

She was living with her boyfriend disappeared, and didn’t have custody of her two daughters, and as a result months passed before she was reported missing. It’s not clear whether she left on her own or not. Her boyfriend says she did, with a man from Texas, but the Texas man he directed the cops to said he hadn’t seen Adkins in years.

Foul play is a possibility. If still alive, Layla Adkins would be about 50 years old today.

MP of the week: Yamaira Montes-Gonzalez

This week’s featured missing person is Yamaira Vivivan Montes-Gonzalez, who disappeared from Yabucoa, Puerto Rico on November 14, 2000. Yamaira was 5’7 and 126 pounds at the time of her disappearance, but as she was only fourteen she might have grown taller since then. She’s Hispanic, with brown hair and brown eyes, but her hair was dyed blonde at the time of her disappearance.

Very little information is available in Yamaira’s case. She might be the first missing person of the week from Puerto Rico; I’m not sure. She was last seen walking to the school bus, wearing her uniform which consisted of a plaid skirt and a white polo shirt.

If still alive she’d be 39 years old today.

MP of the week: Casey Morgan

This week’s featured missing person is Casey Gene Morgan, a 39-year-old man who was last seen after he left the Waffle House where he worked in Marshall, Texas at 4:30 a.m. on August 8, 1997. Casey has scars on both his legs, an eagle tattoo on his back and a panther tattoo on his arm. He’s white, with brown hair and green eyes.

Casey’s truck was found abandoned in a wooded area after his disappearance, with bullets scattered on the floor. His rifle was missing.

If still alive, Casey Morgan would be 68 years old today.

MP of the week: Michael McClain

This week’s featured missing person is Michael Anthony McClain, a 29-year-old last seen in Nashua, New Hampshire on April 20, 2019. He’s black, with black cornrowed or braided hair, a goatee, brown eyes and a lot of tattoos; there are some photo of the tattoos on this Charley Project page.

After a night out clubbing, McClain called his boss to say, “They’re after me. More than one.” He also sent a series of garbled texts. He was last seen entering and exiting a parking garage at 3:30 a.m. The next day, he didn’t show up for work (he worked for a nonprofit, dealing with autistic children) and was never seen again.

If still alive, McClain would be 36 years old now.
