Emergency Food Distribution Network + Locations
Catholic Charities created the Emergency Food Distribution Network + to DISTRIBUTE food to those facing food insecurity. Our efforts are strengthened by collaborations with the San Diego and Imperial Valley Food Banks and our active participation in the TEFAP program. Additionally, we source food through community food drives, donations, and our fresh rescue program, which involves collecting food from various retail partners. This approach allows us to offer not only shelf-stable items but also fresh produce, dairy, meat, hygiene products, and other essential household goods, ensuring a comprehensive support system for our community.
Individuals and families who need food can place a home-delivery request at one of the nearest locations listed below.
After the request for food is placed, someone from catholic charities will be contacting the individual who placed the order to confirm the information received, what date and time food will be ready for pick-up or delivery from our partner parish distribution site.
To further one of Catholic Charities’ core values, as written in our mission, Matthew, Chapter 25:35: “For I was hungry and you gave me food,” the Catholic Charities team is working diligently and will do our best to secure enough food items to feed every hungry individual and family requesting food. However, the food supply depends on our partners’ ability to secure food from their sources.
By participating in this food assistance program, you certify that you meet set federal income guidelines determined by household size and household income. Please refer to the chart.
