Million Meal Event
Since 2021, the Million Meal Event has packed more than 5 million meals for hungry families across the border and around the world. In 2026, this extraordinary event returns on June 13–14 at Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego, uniting our community to bring hope to our brothers and sisters living in poverty.
More than 5,100 volunteers will come together over two days to make this possible. Parish communities, service organizations, schools, and families are encouraged to participate as groups and help raise funds for the event. Our collective goal is to raise $600,000—and together, we can achieve it.
Brought to you by the Deacons and their wives, the Diocesan Office of the Permanent Diaconate, Catholic Charities Diocese of San Diego, and the Diocese of San Diego, this faith-in-action initiative is a powerful witness to unity and compassion. United in hope and steadfast in faith, we come together as witnesses to God, who is love, mercy, and hope for our world.
Sign up today and put your faith in action!
Catholics Feed Forward
The recent funding cuts to food programs and the government shutdown have severely strained food banks, reducing aid and supplies just as demand surges. Your donation to the Emergency Food Distribution Network Plus Program will help restock shelves, secure vital deliveries, and ensure no family goes hungry during this critical time.
Jubilee of Migrants: Matthew 25
In partnership with the Diocese of San Diego, we aim to support families impacted by the current immigration crisis, focusing on assisting vulnerable women and children. CCDSD will match parish donations up to $100,000.
DACA – Learn & Support
The United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) filing fee to apply for DACA is $495.00. Many applicants who qualify to become DACA recipients for the first time do not have the resources to cover the USCIS filing fee.

The Hands That Feed Us
In this California border town, migrant farm workers line the streets at night in hopes of getting hired for the day. If they’re chosen, the bus leaves now and work starts by sunrise.

The Invisible Homeless
In an epicenter of America’s homeless crisis, the streets are “swept” of living humans each morning—where homeless women go, and how they got here.

Exemplifying Values
Stand in solidarity with the poor and vulnerable in our communities. We invite you as individuals, or as a group to build relationships through presence and service.

Home Away From Home
For many refugees, home is a place they may never return. See resettlement through the eyes of a DRC refugee.

Serving Others
Good Samaritan Society members are our special benefactors who make a monthly gift in support of our programs and services.

Disaster Relief and Recovery
Our disaster response team – along with the knowledge and expertise of our member agencies – mobilizes quickly and effectively to aid those experiencing or recovering from disasters.
