Applications for the 2026 Camp Cross Summer Staff are Open!

Camp Cross is hiring young adults age 18+ to join us on staff for 8 weeks of summer camp. We are looking for Christian role models who have a desire to work with a diverse population of children and youth in a camp setting. Staff members are chosen first on the basis of spiritual and emotional maturity and their ability to relate to the campers, and second on their individual skills and talents.

Living in community for the whole summer and serving the campers can be a deeply enriching and rewarding experience and we hope you’ll consider joining us.

If you wish to join us as a camp counselor this summer, please register for Leaders in Training (LIT) here. For ages 15+ (Counselors must have finished their freshman year of high school) – LIT is open to all aspiring Camp Cross counselors who are entering the 10th grade or higher. Participants will receive leadership training as well as be introduced the Core Values of Camp and the program for 2025.

Our Staff

Camp Cross, as a ministry of The Episcopal Diocese of Spokane, looks to hire engaging, responsible adults with a solid foundation and comfort with their own faith.  As role models and mentors, Staff must be ready and willing to also share in the faith journeys of our guests and campers.  Staff are expected to fully participate in worship throughout the day at Camp Cross and must be comfortable doing so.  Our staff is open-minded and carries a service mentality in order to provide the best possible experience.

Other Positions

Food Services Lead

This person manages all aspects of Wells Dining Hall at Camp Cross in conjunction with the Executive Director and is responsible for providing 3 meals plus snacks each day while sessions are running.  These meals must be nutritionally balanced and encourage good eating habits.  Camp Cross serves groups up to 80 people.

The Food Services Lead works with and supervises all kitchen volunteers.

Facilities Lead

This person is responsible for upkeep of the grounds, structures and vehicles at Camp Cross, as well as ensuring that Camp Cross has needed and properly working tools and materials to address upkeep needs throughout the season.

This position will work with the program as needed to prepare and completes a daily work schedule of grounds and facility needs and maintain an up-to-date facility maintenance log.

Program Director

This person will work closely with the resource team and staff for the week ensuring that all program activity runs smoothly.
