Did the McCain Funeralrama come down to Bush giving Michelle a piece of candy?

The American oligarchs came together as planned for the McCain funeralrama that went on for days. In the end, the memorable point of the exercise for most Americans came down to a few seconds of Bush handing over a piece of candy to Michelle Obama. See, we can all get along.

Forget that the point, in this orchestrated piece of theatre, was simply to continue the coup of our sitting President.That’s it. That’s all it took to win Twitter for the day. Did the World miss the point?

Those four seconds of footage have been circulated around TV news stations to ‘ooh’s and ‘ahh’s of fawning establishment pundits yammering incessantly about how the death of War Hero John McCain™ has let everyone Put Aside Our Political Differences™ and Come Together As Americans™ to celebrate the life of a man who dedicated his entire political career to sowing death, suffering and devastation at every opportunity.

 

 

Because that’s how compartmentalized Americans are from the reality of what war is and what it means. The explosions, the screams, the charred and shredded human bodies, the chaos and displacement and all the suffering, terrorism, slavery and rape that necessarily always comes with it, the million Iraqis killed under Bush, the unfathomable humanitarian disasters created in Libya and Syria under Obama, all the devastation created in all the military interventions McCain helped push for, all of that is so peripheral and distant in American consciousness that it can be dismissed with a wave of the hand and a piece of fucking candy.

And it isn’t really their fault. The more woke Americans who’ve grown to resent their brainwashed countrymen hate it when I say this, but it isn’t. It’s not a coincidence that the nation with the most powerful military in the history of civilization and the most billionaires in the history of civilization also happens to have the most sophisticated propaganda system in the history of civilization, and that propaganda system is pointed at them from a very early age to normalize the war machine that is used to protect the empire of the billionaires.

McCain aide avoiding subpoena who handled Trump Dossier in lawsuit

I can’t think of anything that would be more enjoyable than to see McCain swing in the breeze over this. Don’t count on the government to get to the bottom of it.

Lawyers for a Russian tech executive suing BuzzFeed for publishing the Steele dossier say that a longtime associate of Arizona Sen. John McCain and two major news outlets are resisting subpoenas seeking their depositions for the case.

In a brief filed in federal court late Wednesday, lawyers for the executive, Aleksej Gubarev, claim that David Kramer, a former State Department official and McCain associate, “has been seemingly avoiding service” of a deposition subpoena for weeks.

And The New York Times and Wall Street Journal are challenging deposition subpoenas they have been served as part of the case.

Gubarev’s lawyers are attempting to find out who gave BuzzFeed the salacious dossier, which the website published to much controversy on Jan. 10.

The dossier, written by former British spy Christopher Steele, alleges that Gubarev and his companies, XBT Holdings and Webzilla, used spam, viruses and porn bots to hack into DNC computer systems. Gubarev vehemently denies the allegations.

Fusion, which has denied being BuzzFeed’s source, was paid $1 million by the Democrats for the Trump project. More at  Daily Caller

Obama considers flying ‘refugees’ straight from Honduras to avoid rough trip

That is right, I took this straight from Weasel Zippers because, well I am speechless this morning and I just can’t get past this one and how could I find anything more jarring. No joke indeed. Let me add that McCain manages to make the print in the story with his acute acumen by  the quote “Under Senator McCain’s proposal, refugee applicants would be processed at home, and child migrants arriving in the United States illegally could be deported quickly”. Sure, you betcha. Yes, and let’s let the U.N. decide where and from whence they come.

Stacie Blake, the director of government relations for the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants, an advocacy group, said the processing of potential refugees in Central America could be handled by the United States or by the United Nations, which makes refugee determinations in many other countries.

Hoping to stem the recent surge of migrants at the Southwest border, the Obama administration is considering whether to allow hundreds of minors and young adults from Honduras into the United States without making the dangerous trek through Mexico, according to a draft of the proposal.

If approved, the plan would direct the government to screen thousands of children and youths in Honduras to see if they can enter the United States as refugees or on emergency humanitarian grounds. It would be the first American refugee effort in a nation reachable by land to the United States, the White House said, putting the violence in Honduras on the level of humanitarian emergencies in Haiti and Vietnam, where such programs have been conducted in the past amid war and major crises.

Critics of the plan were quick to pounce, saying it appeared to redefine the legal definition of a refugee and would only increase the flow of migration to the United States. Administration officials said they believed the plan could be enacted through executive action, without congressional approval, as long as it did not increase the total number of refugees coming into the country.

By moving decisions on refugee claims to Honduras, the plan aims to slow the rush of minors crossing into the United States illegally from El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala, which has overwhelmed the border this year. More than 45,000 unaccompanied minors from those three nations have arrived since Oct. 1, straining federal resources to the point that some agencies will exhaust their budgets by next month, the secretary of Homeland Security has said.

Cochran stiffed Black Reverend of money after delivering Black votes

As if the nasty election in Mississippi couldn’t get more disgusting.  We can only hope this can be traced back to Cochran himself so the old fool can be removed. By the way,McDaniel as of Friday had refused to concede, but Cochran appears to have narrowly prevailed

Reverend Stevie Fielder, associate pastor at historic First Union Missionary Baptist Church and former official at Meridian’s redevelopment agency, says he delivered “hundreds or even thousands,” of blacks to the polls after being offered money and being assured by a Cochran campaign operative that Chris McDaniel was a racist.

McCain depressed – Boo Hoo!

Your depressed? We have you to thank that we have this monarch regime in power after you ran one epic fail campaign against him. If not for the Tea Party, the Democrats would still have control of the House and we would be in full toilet mode. Thanks McRino.

Sen. John McCain’s daughter says that her father is “depressed” and “frustrated” with the impact the “hyper-conservative wing of the party” is having on national politics, including on the recent government shutdown.

“We’re both frustrated with the idea that only the hyper-conservative wing of the party is going to represent the masses,” Meghan McCain said in a joint interview with ABC and Yahoo News.

Ms. McCain, who has her own reality show “Raising McCain,” said the last time she can remember her father was so depressed about the state of politics was after his failed 2008 presidential bid.

“He is so depressed. He is so downtrodden,” the 29-year-old said. “The way he’s talking about it, how he’s never seen it this bad in his 30-plus years in office.”

Flip-Flop McCain turns into front-runner

Drudge had this story as his header….from the AP, so what else is new. Fox reported this morning that he spent over 50 million– “left over”–from his presidential race just for this primary to knock off Hayworth. This report says 20 mil– either way, this left over bit has me stoked. Look, I am no fan particularly of Hayworth, but after the disaster you helped bring upon us, please go away. And not to spend your money, when so many close House and Senate seats were lost.. too much.  The only good thing out of your disaster was bringing Sarah out of Alaska.

“Once labeled a vulnerable incumbent, the four-term Arizona Republican is the clear front-runner against challenger J.D. Hayworth after spending some $20 million and casting his GOP opponent as a late-night infomercial huckster in a series of devastating ads. The primary is Tuesday.

McCain, who turns 74 on Aug. 29, has survived the deadly 1967 explosion on the USS Forrestal, 5 1/2 years in a Vietnam POW camp after being shot down near Hanoi and skin cancer. Politically, he has persisted through the Keating Five savings and loan scandal, and two failed bids for the White House.”

“I have stood up and led the fight as a fiscal conservative and a leader on national defense and a strong supporter of the men and women who are fighting and sacrificing for this nation,” McCain told a woman who questioned his record at a town-hall meeting last Thursday.
