Family Farms Vanishing and a Consolidated Beef Industry – All for RFK Jr. to Remedy

Robert Kennedy Jr is well known for his focus on big Pharma. He is equally committed to the family farm in Making America Healthy Again, and those folks are in desperate need of someone to care. 141,000 family farms were lost between 2017 and 2022.

Just before the presidential election, RFK Jr. published a short video on X indicating that when Trump “gets me inside” the United States Department of Agriculture, “we’re going to give farmers an off-ramp from the current system that destroys soil, makes people sick, and harms family farms.”

In an interview with  Nicole Shanahan, Kennedy’s previous running mate, she stated:

This is where I want to make the investments in our country. I want to create an entire – I want to bring back the infrastructure that allowed small and mid-size growers to be able to produce, and process, and package, and distribute locally, because that has all been taken away for the most part – it’s why it’s impossible economically for small growers to make a profit today.”

Earlier in the interview, she noted:

“I’ve been a producer on a few of these regenerative agriculture films, and the biggest pushback we’ve ever gotten [was] from the artificial meat investors.

Zero Hedge:

The Beef Initiative, a non-profit focused on boosting localized food supply, listed four shocking facts about America’s family farms, the health crisis, the beef industry, and big pharma ads:

  • Family Farms Disappearing: Over 141,000 farms lost between 2017 and 2022, with just 1.89 million left in the U.S. today.
  • Health Crisis Rising: Obesity rates hit 42%, and Type 2 diabetes cases quadrupled since 1980.
  • Beef Industry Centralized: 85% of U.S. beef is controlled by just 4 corporations.
  • Big Pharma Spending: $19.6 billion on ads, $102 billion on research—focused on profit, not solutions.

We’ve heard of agency capture – but how about website capture?

  • Beef.org: Owned by NCBA and the Big 4.
  • Health.com: Powered by People Magazine.
  • Science.com: Powered by Bill Gates.
  • Beef.com: Once used by PETA.

Congrats to Kennedy for getting through the quagmire and being sworn as the Director of Health and Human Services. Personally I hope Trump will keep a strong leash on him with a lot of direction. This is a huge department, with much more than farmers and vaccines. Once a Progressive always a Progressive? Though I commend him for taking this on, and who else will unless it’s someone like the kids that Elon has rounded up who, from the outside, are willing to lay waste to the status quo. Let us not end up like Pakistan who in the name of “Green” did away with fertilizer, ending in mass starvation.

Back as recently as 2018 I posted the following story. This as a reminder that the Deep State is always just around the corner. Here is one family’s story.

Family Farm Could Face Prison for Calling Skim Milk by Its Name

An Orwellian dystopia. In what kind of universe does a dairy farmer have to label skim milk from a cow as artificial milk, but if he adds artificial vitamins to it, he can call it natural skim milk? I know, in a leftist dream world. Ridiculous. Of course, this fine family is going to court for the fight of their life:

Can The Government Force Fishermen To Pay The Salaries Of Federally Required Monitors?

I am suggesting that behind much of the recent well orchestrated attack on the Supreme Court could be a court case that could stand the administrative State on its head. The court has the opportunity to reign in or even eliminate the reach of agencies dictating how we are to conduct our lives as opposed to Congress implementing the rule of law.

This is the last gasp of a free society. Those who oppose congress getting back to “Regular Order” – writing laws as opposed to agencies will be revealed.

Also included are a few highlights of the Congressional Hearing on Wednesday concerning the Supreme Court.

Here is one of the best analysis of the case that the court accepted to hear. Well worth the full read, and gives us hope.

Independent Women’s Law Center:

The Independent Women’s Law Center filed a friend-of-the-court brief this week in the United States Supreme Court in support of local fishermen in Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo. The case involves a government agency, the National Marine Fisheries Service, running riot over separation of powers principles and provides a perfect opportunity for the Supreme Court finally to overrule—or at the very least, limit—judicial deference to administrative interpretations of the law under Chevron, U.S.A., Inc. v. Natural Resources Defense Council, Inc., 467 U.S. 837 (1984).

In this case, the National Marine Fisheries Service required small family fisheries to pay the salaries of government monitors stationed on their boats—imposing costs on these struggling businesses equal to 20% of their annual revenues. To be valid, such an extraordinary assertion of power would need to have been authorized by Congress. It was not. The Magnuson-Stevens Act provides that the agency has such power only in very limited circumstances—and caps the cost of such monitors at 2-3% of the vessel’s haul. When read as a whole, that statute confirms Congress never intended to charge small family fisheries located in the Atlantic such exorbitant fees.

Here are a few clips of the Congressional hearing this week concerning the attacks on the Supreme court, especially Judge Thomas as well as other Supreme Court members.

Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) slammed a proposed ethics code for Supreme Court Justices with witnesses, calling it an attack on Justice Clarence Thomas.

Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) questioned a witness on alleged ethical violations of Supreme Court Justices in the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.

We get the best of Kennedy on the topic. In remarks at the start of Wednesday’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) excoriated Democrats for their attacks on Supreme Court Justices. The clip skips a bit in the beginning for a few seconds…just move it a bit.

ABC Censors Presidential Dem Candidate Robert Kennedy Jr.

In a wonderfully written piece by Johnathan Turley, we get the news that the media will have no qualms in censoring a Presidential candidate. A precedent is being set and it would be wise for us to pay attention. As of now the Kennedy challenge to Biden is a sleeper of a story. But behind the wall, the cabal of government and media collusion,  censoring a candidate….a new step in the gaslighting of America.

Johnathan Turley:

Before he was assassinated, Robert F. Kennedy declared that “hand in hand with freedom of speech goes the power to be heard.” That does not appear to be the view of ABC News, which censored his son who is now running for the Democratic presidential nomination. ABC objected to Kennedy’s views on COVID-19 vaccines, so it simply announced that it was preventing viewers from hearing those views to protect them from dangerous ideas.

Legal analyst Jonathan Turley assailed ABC News for “actively seeking to prevent voters from hearing a presidential candidate on an issue of great public interest and debate.”

As described Monday in his column, the George Washington University law professor and frequent Fox News contributor said, “ABC is now claiming the right to censor presidential candidates to protect the public from harmful thoughts or disinformation, including major issues behind a campaign. It is wrong for both the country and for journalism.”

“We do not have to be protected from dangerous thoughts by the media,” Turley wrote. “A far greater danger lurks in the indoctrination and orthodoxy that comes from censorship.”

ABC’s Linsey Davis began the interview by introducing Kennedy as “one of the biggest voices pushing anti-vaccine rhetoric, regularly distributing misinformation and disinformation about vaccines, which scientific and medical experts overwhelmingly say are safe and effective based on rigorous scientific studies.”

That apparently was not enough. After telling viewers that this is one of his most famous stances (and its own disagreement), it then censored those views.

After airing the interview, Davis announced “[w]e should note that during our conversation, Kennedy made false claims about the COVID-19 vaccines. We’ve used our editorial judgment in not including extended portions of that exchange in our interview.”

Kennedy tweeted that “47 USC 315 makes it illegal for TV networks to censor Presidential candidates but Thursday, ABC showed its contempt for the law, democracy, and its audience by cutting most of the content of my interview with host Linsey Davis leaving only cherry-picked snippets and a defamatory disclaimer.”

The provision is designed to guarantee equal time for presidential candidates and does add “such licensee shall have no power of censorship over the material broadcast.” However, that does not mean that a candidate is given carte blanche and cannot be edited. In this case, however, ABC is affirmatively stating that it censored his remarks because it disagreed with them.

Putting aside the federal law, this is wrong. ABC can challenge such views, but it is actively seeking to prevent voters from hearing a presidential candidate on an issue of great public interest and debate.

…..It is not clear where ABC draws the line. Joe Biden has made so many false statements that the Washington Post gave him a “bottomless Pinocchio.” Likewise, many view contested claims over climate change and transgender issues to be dangerous. Will ABC now be censoring these other candidates or positions? jonathanturley.org/2022/11/07/bid

Biden Raises Reminder of Infamous Dodd – Kennedy Sexual Assault

You can’t get any more self unaware than to mention “waitress” and “Dodd” in the same sentence. His mind wandered to Dodd and his BFF Ted Kennedy and the infamous Dodd-Kennedy Waitress Sandwich Story apparently. His filter was on the blink. One would not want to be the waitress. Recall it was Dodd who was chosen to lead Biden’s pick for the VP, thus we have Kamala Harris.

Biden says former Sen. Chris Dodd would never ‘disrespect the waitress’

President Biden raised eyebrows Friday when he praised former Senator Chris Dodd — and inadvertently referenced a notorious episode of alleged sexual assault involving the Connecticut Democrat and the late Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.).

Biden lauded his longtime Senate colleague during remarks dedicating the Dodd Center for Human Rights at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, saying he measures a person’s character by how they treat workers in the service industry. More from the NY Post

Let us not forget-

Notorious Sexual Harasser Chris Dodd named to Biden VP selection Committee

The Kennedy-Dodd Waitress Sandwich Information Clearinghouse

In 1985, Dodd and fellow Senator Ted Kennedy were out (with dates) for a night on the town at La Brasserie. Much liquor was consumed–that will come as a shock to those of us familiar with Ted Kennedy–and the two Senators were at one point unaccompanied by their dates. The Senators made a “Waitress Sandwich” out of some poor, unsuspecting waitress.

If you’re not entirely sure what that means, let’s just say you wouldn’t want to be the waitress
“Dodd and Kennedy were also reported to have made a ‘human sandwich’ with a waitress at La Brasserie, another Capitol Hill restaurant. The report had it that Kennedy threw the woman on Dodd, who was slumped in a chair, and then jumped on top of her. She was said to have run screaming from the room.”
Summary of 1989 Penthouse magazine article, summarized by the Washington Times:

“When she put in an appearance in their private retreat – ‘The Teddy Kennedy Fun Room’ – the Massachusetts senator picked her up and heaved her onto a table. The crystal candlesticks and champagne glasses shattered as he grabbed her again and flung her on top of Dodd.

“Then Kennedy threw himself on top of the woman. The waitress implored Mr. Kennedy to ‘Get off me!’

“Another waitress entered to find ‘things all tipped over and Kennedy was on top, [the waitress] was in the middle and Dodd was on the bottom.’ At that point the sandwich was disassembled.”

Here’s the story, originally reported by GQ in 1990 here Included in the link is the long history of his debauchery.

Senator Kennedy pins back James Comey at House hearing

Anyone who managed yesterday to find their way over to C-Span 3 got a break from the campaign in the form of one James Comey. Yes, one did need to wade through four hours of nonsense and the “doesn’t ring a bell,” and “not to my recollection” but there were about 30 minutes worthy of attention.

The GOP senators were poorly prepared and one had to figure Lindsey who chairs the committee needed a free promo for his upcoming re-election. His plea of “please send money they hate my guts” chorus is getting old. He sat on his hands for years after promising that “any day now” he was going to hold hearings and get to the bottom of things.

But Senator Kennedy never disappoints.  I chose this for a refresher that there are a couple of the old timers that still can spin a tale and be enjoyable listening to them.

Ted Kennedy’s Dog Splash Passes On….

Right Wing News: Mary Jo Kopenchne is unavailable for comment

The late Sen. Edward Kennedy’s dog, Splash, who was the star of a children’s book about Capitol Hill, has died.

Kennedy’s widow, Vicki, announced his death in an e-mail Thursday. She calls the 13-year-old Portuguese water dog “a world-class fetcher of tennis balls and a meeter and greeter of presidents, senators, congressmen and even foreign dignitaries.”

Of course, let’s face it, only in Liberal World is a man who walked away from a car accident to create an alibi, where the vehicle is in the water and sinking, with a young woman drowning slowly, is turned into an icon and model citizen, despite having no regrets or remorse.

RFK, Jr. 15 months ago: Global warming means no snow or cold in DC

Oh my Dear Robert– take a look out the ole window– guess what? Most snow since, oh well, dunno, but well I guess we are starting to put a stake in the ole Global Warming scenario? Wonder why Sarah is doing so well? It’s you looney liberals that want us “little people” the great unwashed, or as one CNN commentator explained, “They (hint us)  just don’t have enough band width to understand”.– just please go away.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who flies around on private planes so as to tell larger numbers of people how they must live their lives in order to save the planet, wrote a column last year on the lack of winter weather in Washington, D.C.

In those days, I recall my uncle, President Kennedy, standing erect as he rode a toboggan in his top coat, never faltering until he slid into the boxwood at the bottom of the hill. Once, my father, Atty. Gen. Robert Kennedy, brought a delegation of visiting Eskimos home from the Justice Department for lunch at our house. They spent the afternoon building a great igloo in the deep snow in our backyard. My brothers and sisters played in the structure for several weeks before it began to melt. On weekend afternoons, we commonly joined hundreds of Georgetown residents for ice skating on Washington’s C&O Canal, which these days rarely freezes enough to safely skate.

Meanwhile, Exxon Mobil and its carbon cronies continue to pour money into think tanks whose purpose is to deceive the American public into believing that global warming is a fantasy.

Our Gerontocracy

Now that Bryd has fallen and couldn’t get up can someone take him home and make him stay there? Its for his own good really.   And for our own good can we use him as a poster boy to make the case to repeal the 17th Amendment?

Beyond treason and corruption, there are many reasons why a U.S. senator should be recalled. Recently, we’ve seen a fair amount of illness in the Senate: Sen. Kennedy’s malignant glioma (brain cancer), Sen. Johnson’s inter-cranial bleeding, Sen. Biden’s aneurysms, etc. (Should America have to tolerate brain damage in what’s billed as “the world’s greatest deliberative body”?) Also, some senators are just too old. Sen. Strom Thurman set the Senate record at 100 years. Sen. Byrd is President pro tem of the Senate, therefore third in the line of succession to the Presidency. Byrd has been in the Senate for 50 years; he’ll have his 92nd birthday this November.

Buck Up Comrades!!

Lockandload finds comfort in the writings of our early martyrs for freedom. This is not the first time, nor the last that our nation will be challenged, and we must remain vigilant.
Let us not forget Davey Crockett.

We must not permit our respect for the dead or our sympathy for the living to lead us into an act of injustice to the balance of the living.

DAVY CROCKETT’S “NOT YOURS TO GIVE” SPEECH IN CONGRESS
“It is a precedent fraught with danger for the country, for when Congress once begins to stretch its power beyond the limits of the Constitution, there is no limit to it and no security for the people… … the Constitution, to be worth anything, must be held sacred and rigidly observed in all its provisions.”
