The original story on Trump’s Thanksgiving activities —that was ultimately deleted— Newsweek talked of excess and golfing, stone crab and his Rocky Balboa tweet, framing it in a way that would make Americans think the president is living it up on his golden throne, according to NOQ Report.

Trump’s past Thanksgiving meals have reportedly involved 24 dishes including turkey, stone crab, beef tenderloin, leg of lamb, scallops, ahi tuna martinis, lobster bisque and seven desserts.

Ca Dems trys to pass law against “fake news” creates Ministry of Truth

For some reason I don’t think this will end well. We already have “censors” concerning social media. Now California wants to legislate the truth and chose who does this? The left has been working on this for years. They never rest.

“California’s version of the Ministry of Truth isn’t forward-thinking, it’s akin to something out of George Orwell’s dystopian novel, “1984.”

Too Orwellian to even think about. Let’s legislate this:

One of the latest legislative proposals from California aims to make government the arbiter of truth.

Senate Bill 1424 would create an advisory group on “fake news” to work with social media companies to weed out what the government deems incorrect information on the internet.

This legislation, if passed, would require California’s attorney general to create the group, consisting of “social media providers, civil liberties advocates, and First Amendment scholars,” to study and mitigate the problem of spreading false information.

According to CBS Sacramento, even the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a left-leaning nonprofit civil liberties organization, called the legislation “flawed” and “misguided.”

This bill mirrors the trend in Europe, where government commissions to police speech and the news are becoming common.

California, emboldened by a stridently progressive Legislature, is trying to bring these Orwellian fake news panels to the United States.

Attkisson: ‘Fake News’ Campaign Was a Pre-Planned Political Operation By Google’s Schmidt and Democrats

Sharyl Attkinson is the last of the old-time reporters who does real investigative work. When I saw the name Google it was all I needed to know. Recall Google was up to their eyeballs in running the so-called “Arab Spring.” I had done numerous posts at the time and will include a few links at the bottom of the post. The world’s governments are getting sick of google and its shenanigans. We should be as well.

First they are working really, really closely with the government. They have a close relationship with the NSA. They work closely with law enforcement. Last year they signed a $27 million deal with the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency.

Google, Facebook and Twitter are currently working overtime to silence conservative voices online. Day after day we learn of another conservative voice that has been silenced or shadow-banned by the tech giants.

Last week The Gateway Pundit hosted several conservative voices in a panel discussion on Social Media Neutrality at The Newseum in Washington DC. Over 132,000 people tuned in to the panel discussion. This is a serious problem facing our country and freedom of speech.

This week Sharyl Attkisson explained the origins of the liberal media-Democrat Party’s “fake news” narrative in a TedX Talk.

Attkisson revealed how this was all a plot by the Democrat-media Complex to smear conservative news and eventually to put them out of business.

“He insisted in a speech that he too thought somebody needed to step in and curate information of this wild, wild West media environment,” she said, pointing out that “nobody in the public had been clamoring for any such thing.”

Yet suddenly the subject of fake news was dominating headlines all over America as if the media had received “its marching orders,” she recounted. “Fake news, they insisted, was an imminent threat to American democracy.”

Attkisson, who has studied the manipulative moneyed interests behind the media industry, said that “few themes arise in our environment organically.” She noted that she always found it helpful to “follow the money.”

Pope Francis says that Fake News is a sin

I’m sorry, but this seems so orchestrated. I am no fan of the Pope. Mainly because it appears that his Marxism seems at times to supersede any resemblance of a religious leader. Essentially, this drumbeat about fake news simply is the first step in justifying censorship. So while Progressives rale against the right and its authoritarian bent, it is the Progs who are taking it to a dangerous level.

I throw in as well the short version of Hillary telling us the danger of fake news. That is the joke of the day. Here we go:

Media that focus on scandals and spread fake news to smear politicians risk becoming like people who have a morbid fascination with excrement, Pope Francis said in an interview published on Wednesday.

Francis told the Belgian Catholic weekly Tertio that spreading disinformation was “probably the greatest damage that the media can do” and using communications for this rather than to educate the public amounted to a sin.

The Argentine-born pontiff excused himself for using such terms in order to get his point across while answering a question about the correct use of the media.

“I think the media have to be very clear, very transparent, and not fall into — no offense intended — the sickness of coprophilia, that is, always wanting to cover scandals, covering nasty things, even if they are true,” he said.

He also spoke of the danger of using the media to slander political rivals.

“The means of communication have their own temptations, they can be tempted by slander, and therefore used to slander people, to smear them, this above all in the world of politics,” he said. “They can be used as means of defamation…”

“No one has a right to do this. It is a sin and it is hurtful,” he said.

Here we have the ultimate purveyor of “Fake News.” But then again, what difference does it make?

Hillary Clinton said fake news is an “epidemic” and “a danger that must be addressed and addressed quickly” while attending a portrait unveiling on Capitol Hill, in honor of retiring Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid.
