Study group guidance

Study groups are an invaluable way for students to improve their understanding of difficult material. Students can share and compare notes, ask questions in a judgement-free setting, and learn by listening and explaining to others. But sometimes these groups don’t accomplish as much as they can because of issues such as disorganization, too much time spent socializing or a misunderstanding of how different people learn.

I can help your study group become more effective by identifying learning types and setting goals. Every group has its own dynamic, so together we will discuss how your study group can become a more successful learning experience for everyone. We will then delve into the material, and I can answer specific questions from the group and offer examples and practice problems. My goal is to create a positive group experience in which every participant feels acknowledged and achieves a greater understanding of their own learning process.
