Hey there everyone, welcome to the 129th Scavenger Hunt! I started doing these at the beginning of the year and it's pretty cool that I'm hosting the hunt for the end of it, the world works funny like that.
For anyone new the rules are simple:
- Create a letterboxd list of 31 films that follow the prompts below, then comment a link to your list below if you want to be labelled as a participant.
- Make sure your list and logs of a film are tagged 'scavenger hunt 129' in order to be found easier, and it's encouraged you look through other people's reviews as we go along. We're all doing this together and it's nice to see what…
Hey there everyone, welcome to the 129th Scavenger Hunt!
We're all doing this together and it's nice to see what other people are watching at the same time.
- How or when you watch the movies is totally up to you. You can aim for one film a day or marathon them all before the end of the month, you can also change the movies whenever you want as long as they fit the prompt, whenever it's because you wanna watch something else or you watch something that happens to fit with the list.
- Don't feel pressured if you can't watch them all, the point of this is seek out movies you wouldn't have otherwise, and you'll always have the next hunt to catch up on those you missed (or not, you may just watch them normally.)
- Lastly some prompts will have links to lists to give you some film ideas but you don't have to stick to them, pick whatever you want that fits the prompt.
Shout out to Sam Q for hosting the November hunt, and I wish you all a happy hunting!

7: Last year was the release of the infamous Dwayne Johnson flop Red One. In honor of it's memory, watch a box office bomb you wished you saw in theaters
8: Letterboxd recently posted a list of films with the most fans who have 'she' pronouns in their bio. In honor of my sister fawnopedia, watch a movie from that list.
9. Winter can be a great setting for a movie, from christmas romcoms to doom and gloom thrillers. Watch a Christmas romcom.
