Importing Patterns in BlockSpare

1 min read

There are two easy ways to import patterns using BlockSpare:

Method 1: Import from the Page/Post Editor #

  1. Go to Pages → Add New or Posts → Add New (or edit an existing page/post).
  2. In the top toolbar, click on the Pattern Library icon.
  3. Browse the available BlockSpare patterns.
  4. Select your preferred layout/template.
  5. Click to Insert/Import it into your page.
  6. Customize the content using the WordPress Block Editor.

This method is ideal when you are building or editing a page and want to quickly insert a ready-made layout.

Method 2: Import from BlockSpare Dashboard #

  1. Go to your WordPress Dashboard.
  2. Click on BlockSpare from the admin menu.
  3. Open the Pattern Library.
  4. You can:
    • Click the “+” (Plus) icon to automatically create a new page with the selected pattern, or
    • Copy the pattern and paste it manually into any page or post.

This method is useful when you want to preview and manage patterns before adding them to your content.

Important Note #

To ensure your news or magazine layout looks the same as the demo:

  • ✅ Make sure you have published posts available.
  • ✅ Assign posts to the correct categories used in the pattern.
  • ✅ Add featured images to posts for proper grid and slider display.

Without posts and featured images, the layout may not appear as shown in the demo.
