The Gap Settings in BlockSpare allow you to control the spacing between different elements inside a block. Proper spacing improves readability, maintains visual balance, and helps create a clean and professional layout.
These settings help you adjust the distance between block elements such as titles, categories, meta information, and buttons.
1. Block Gaps #
Controls the spacing between multiple blocks or post items within the layout.
- A smaller gap creates a compact layout.
- A larger gap creates more breathing space between items.
This setting is commonly used in grid, list, and tile layouts.
2. Content Gaps #
Defines the spacing between content elements inside each post card or block item.
This includes spacing between:
- Title
- Category
- Meta information
- Excerpt
- Buttons or links
Adjusting this gap ensures the content does not appear crowded.
3. Title Gap #
Controls the spacing around the post title, usually between the title and the elements above or below it.
Example:
- Space between Category and Title
- Space between Title and Meta/Excerpt
A balanced title gap improves content hierarchy and readability.
4. Category Gap #
Sets the spacing between the category label and other elements.
Example:
- Category → Title
- Category → Featured Image
This helps visually separate the category badge from other content.
5. Meta Gap #
Controls the spacing around post meta information, such as:
- Author name
- Post date
- Comment count
Proper spacing ensures the meta information remains clear but not visually dominant.
6. Read More Link Gap #
Defines the space between the Read More link or button and other elements like the excerpt or meta information.
This helps maintain a clear separation between the content preview and the action link.
