First Saturday of the Month

KidSpace

Do your little ones love outer space? Are they curious about stars, planets, and galaxies? Do they dream of becoming astronauts or astronomers?

Kidspace is an education program offered in the Planetarium at The Bishop, and it is included with general admission.

Join us for Space Saturdays, the first Saturday of every month, at 11:15 AM for a fun and educational 20-minute live Planetarium show designed especially for curious kids ages 3 to 10.

Each month, KidSpace explores exciting topics in astronomy and space science, such as the Sun, Moon, Earth, solar system, galaxies, black holes, and more. Beginning in January, each session builds on the previous one, helping young learners deepen their understanding of the universe, spark their curiosity, and stretch their scientific thinking.

Before and after the show, children can participate in a hands-on demonstration, lock in the lesson, or meet a Learning Specialist in the Mosaic Backyard Universe for Backyard Science, featuring space-related observations, activities, and demonstrations.

We can’t wait to launch into learning with you!

The Dark Side of the Light explains why and how humans destroy our surroundings with light pollution, the impact it has on us and nature as a whole, and what each of us can do about it.
