The image above is a billboard as part of the Holocaust on Your Plate campaign by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). In 300-600 words, write a critical review, using the following questions as a guide:

What is PETA trying to communicate with this image?
This image was banned in Germany because it was deemed offensive. Why do you think this was considered offensive?
When we equate humans and animals, where are we in fact grounding human value? (e.g. What would Peter Singer say?)
What might be a positive Christian case for human value? How would you go about building the case?

Women's rights, right to life, prisoner's rights, LGBTQ rights... If we are to name the one non-negotiable cultural value in our society, many would quickly name human rights. Yet, insofar as human rights is invoked as an objective reality in our world, we must make sense of it through our worldview. Is every worldview adequate to the task of providing the sacred bedrock for this most cherished value of our time?
