Topic: Congressional Office meeting with Congresswoman Kat Cammack, Deputy Chief of Staff Jessica Norfleet, and Economic Development Coordinator Jeannie Rickman. We talked about AMAC Goals and gave each material that relayed our message. We discussed Senator Tuberman’s bill regarding SS benefits included in ordinary income. She agrees. She wants to do either a Meet and Greet or an Around Table with AMAC members.

April 29: Leslie McPherson, GA-03 AMAC Action Delegate. Speaker: Hubert Sparks, Chief Appraiser for the Carroll County, GA Tax Assessor’s Office.
Topic: Hubert explained how homes are assessed for property taxes and available exemptions. Inflation as related to assessed values. He also described recent complicated legislation concerning what is known as a floating homestead exemption.
