Continuing Education Units

  • What types of CEUs can professionals earn?

In part, the AG Bell Global LSL Virtual Symposium is provided to assist professionals in their continuing education. Professionals can choose from 3 different types of CEUs:

AG Bell Academy for Listening and Spoken Language
AG Bell is pre-approved by the AG Bell Academy for Listening and Spoken Language to offer up CEUs. These units are applicable for LSLS® (Listening and Spoken Language Specialist) re-certification and may also be used by professionals seeking LSLS certification.

    American Academy of Audiology (AAA)
AG Bell is approved by the American Academy of Audiology to offer Academy CEUs for this activity. Academy approval of this continuing education activity is based on course content only and does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products, or clinical procedures, or adherence to the Academy’s Code of Ethics. The views expressed are those of the presenter/CE Provider and not necessarily of the American Academy of Audiology.

    American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
AG Bell is approved by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) to offer continuing education for this event. ASHA CE Provider approval does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products, or clinical procedures. The views expressed in the sessions are those of the presenters and do not necessarily reflect the positions of ASHA.

  • What requirements are there to earn CEUs?

In order to be awarded continuing education units or hours connected to the Symposium, a registered professional participant must follow this process:

    1. Choose the type of CEUs you wish to receive during the Symposium. You only need to complete this form one time.
    2. Participate in the entire session for which you wish to earn a CEU, whether in a “live” session or “on demand” session.
    3. Complete and submit a “Session Feedback + CEU Learning Assessment” form for each attended session for which you desire CEUs. Participants who do not complete a “Session Feedback + CEU Learning Assessment form for a given session will not earn CEUS for that session. If you attend multiple sessions, you should complete multiple Session Feedback + CEU Learning Assessment forms.
  • Do I have to fill out every question to earn CEUs?

Yes. You must answer every question, but do not need to be detailed or even use full sentences.

  • Can students earn CEUs?

No. Student attendees will not earn CEUs. To earn CEUs, you must register as a professional (member or non-member).

  • Is there anything else I need to know about earning CEUs?

Here is other important information about CEUs:

    • Understand that only those sessions listed as offering continuing education are eligible for continuing education. Not all Symposium sessions will be available for CEUs.
    • Session Feedback + CEU Assessment of Learning forms will be reviewed by AG Bell’s Continuing Education (CE) Administrator. The CE Administrator is quite familiar with the content being provided by session presenters and will review each assessment for learning about the content presented in that particular session.
    • Any verbatim listing on a Session Feedback + CEU Learning Assessment form of the Learning Objectives listed on the AG Bell Symposium website is considered unsatisfactory for a given session and that participant will not be awarded continuing education for that session.
    • Understand that an attendee can be awarded continuing education units/hours only once per session and only for the full amount indicated for that particular session.
    • A participant who attends all days of the live symposium can earn CEUs provided that the participant attends each session in full and satisfactorily completes a Session Feedback + CEU Assessment of Learning form for each attended session. The same attendees can earn additional continuing education hours/units by attending sessions on demand that they did not attend during the live symposium.
    • You will be able to access the On-Demand Symposium July – September, 2026.
    • A participant can register for the Symposium, not attend the “live” event, and still earn continuing education as long as that participant participates in the On-Demand Symposium and completes a Session Feedback + CEU Learning Assessment form for each attended session.

Communication & Accessibility

  • What language will the Symposium be in?

The official language is English. AG Bell will provide real-time captioning in English for all sessions during the in-person Symposium June 4-6, 2026.

Live captioning in additional languages will be provided via your personal electronic device. All on-demand sessions will have captioning in multiple languages.

Requests for any additional accommodations must be made in writing to [email protected] by May 4, 2026.

  • Will all sessions be captioned?

Yes! Real-time captioning will be provided for all live sessions, with multilingual captions available during on-demand access.
